Norway announces impossibility of increasing gas supplies to Germany
Problems in the German energy sector continue to grow. Following the cut in Russian gas supplies via the Nord Stream pipeline and the failure of talks in Qatar, bad news came to Berlin from Oslo.
Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre, after a recent meeting with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, said that his country would not be able to increase gas supplies to Germany. According to the politician, Norway has already seriously increased the export of "blue fuel" to Germany, having reached a possible limit.
It is worth noting that after the start of our NWO in Ukraine, Norway has seriously increased gas production at its fields. At the same time, according to the German media, the aforementioned impossibility of increasing supplies to Germany is not connected with the policy of the official Oslo, but with the achievement of peak gas pipeline throughput from Norway.
Recall that the Norwegian export of "blue fuel" covers a third of Germany's gas needs. Norway is the second largest supplier to Germany after Russia.
Earlier it was reported that in recent months Germany has been actively preparing for the upcoming winter period, pumping gas into its storage facilities ahead of schedule. At the moment, it is known that German UGS facilities are already 75% full.
At the same time, according to the calculation of the German authorities, the available reserves will not be enough for a "full" passage of the heating period. In this regard, probably, Germany will be forced to reduce gas consumption in the winter by 20%.
