Russia has revoked licenses from the Czech Republic and Bulgaria for the repair of helicopters of the Mi family, and the supply of licensed spare parts has also been suspended. This was announced by the director of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation of Russia Dmitry Shugaev.
Russia has revoked licenses for the repair of helicopters of the Mi family from Bulgarian and Czech enterprises due to cooperation with Ukraine. The supply of licensed spare parts and components for aviation and other Russian and Soviet technology. All states that supplied Soviet-made military equipment to Ukraine were sent notes about the inadmissibility of such actions.
A number of enterprises located in Bulgaria and the Czech Republic have their licenses for the right to repair Mi type helicopters revoked
Shugaev added.
Russia is constantly faced with the illegal re-export of Soviet equipment and Russian weapons from the countries of the former Warsaw Pact to Ukraine. The European states violate their obligations by sending equipment received from the Soviet Union and Russia to Kyiv. The United States is also violating re-export obligations by sending Mi-171 helicopters purchased for Afghanistan to Ukraine. Russia is trying by all legal means to counteract illegal deliveries, but it is not possible to impose restrictions on re-export on all Soviet equipment.
However, we must understand that not all Soviet weapons and equipment can be subject to re-export restrictions.
Shugaev said.
