Deputies of the Ukrainian Parliament supported the proposal submitted to the Verkhovna Rada to extend martial law in the country for another 90 days, until November 21. At the same time, general mobilization is extended for the same period. Zelensky submitted both decrees to the Rada on August 12.
- Ukrainian MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak wrote on his TG channel.
Earlier in Kyiv, they announced plans to increase the number of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to 1 million military personnel. The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine believes that the mobilization capabilities of the state are far from being exhausted and, if possible, the strength of the Ukrainian army, together with units of territorial defense, the National Police and other law enforcement agencies, can be brought up to 2 million or even more. However, by no means all citizens of Ukraine agree with the regime, who are much less willing to serve and go to the front than planned in the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Literally at the end of last month, a number of Russian and Ukrainian Internet resources reported on violent mobilization being carried out in Ukraine. It was also noted that the composition of the mobilized has changed significantly. If earlier they were townspeople, then at present the bulk of the conscripts are rural residents who have not been able to pay off or escape abroad. Also, men over 45-50 years old are increasingly being taken into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This is also confirmed in the republics of Donbass, judging by the last Ukrainian soldiers who were taken prisoner.
