An American company publishes satellite images from the Zyabrovka airfield in Belarus, where the incident was reported
American resources involved in servicing satellites for sensing the Earth's surface publish pictures of the airfield near the village of Zyabrovka, Gomel region. Recall that a few days ago, explosions were reported at this military facility on the territory of Belarus. Ukrainian officials announced that this was the work of some "pro-Ukrainian Belarusian partisans." The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Belarus refuted these statements, noting that an emergency actually occurred at the airfield, but as a result of testing the engine of one of the units of military equipment.
On satellite images of the MAXAR company, which has recently repeatedly shown a “special interest” in military facilities in Russia and allied countries, you can see the runway of the military airfield in Zyabrovka and, in fact, its entire territory.
It can be seen that there is a trace of an explosion and, probably, a fire on the strip. In this case, the trace is really single. There are no “numerous” explosions, as the Ukrainian media wrote about it and the Belarusian “non-systemic” oppositionists who fled to Poland and Lithuania said.
At the same time, there is no official data yet on which particular piece of equipment was damaged or destroyed as a result of an accident at an airfield in the Gomel region. There is no data on whether this equipment belongs to Belarus or Russia.
The Ukrainian side has previously stated that a Russian military aircraft is rising from the airfield in the Gomel region to strike Ukrainian targets aviation.
