Pushilin confirmed the holding of the first tribunal over war criminals from "Azov" before the end of summer
The first trial of war criminals from the nationalist Azov Regiment* (a terrorist group banned in Russia) will take place before the end of summer in Mariupol. This was announced by Denis Pushilin.
The head of the DPR answered several questions regarding the trial of nationalists from "Azov" *, foreign mercenaries and servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine accused of war crimes. According to him, it is no longer possible to delay the tribunal, the first trial will take place before the end of the summer, i.e. this month.
- added the head of the DPR.
Prior to this, Pushilin stated that the date of the first trial would be determined only after the investigators of the Prosecutor General's Office completed the investigation and "give the go-ahead." However, it can take a long time to wait for a full investigation of all crimes. Most likely, the first tribunal will be held against the Azov militants, whose criminal cases have already been investigated.
Literally a few days in Mariupol, they began to prepare the premises for the first trial within the framework of the tribunal. As already reported by "Military Review" in one of its news materials, the workers began to build metal cages in which the defendants would be kept. Preparations are in full swing, apparently they are trying to be in time by the second half of August. The date of the first meeting has not yet been determined, but now there is no doubt that it will be held in Mariupol.
