Signalers of the Central Military District received the latest digital and satellite radio stations

Within the framework of the State Defense Order 2012, the communications units of the Novosibirsk General Army received more than 25 mobile points of contact and about 2 thousand mobile portable radio stations.

Medium-capacity radio stations are installed on the basis of infantry combat vehicles, and satellite communications stations are installed on KAMAZ-5350 vehicles. All of them work in a digital format and surpass previous generation radio stations several times. By the number of communication channels provided, one complex can replace the old 3-4 radio stations.

New technology allows you to establish communication through closed Internet channels, to carry out topographical binding through various satellite systems. The machines have significantly improved ergonomics. Inside there is an air conditioning and heating system, convenient places for work and rest are provided.

New generation communication systems have new capabilities for organizing the management of subordinate formations and military units, including for video conferencing in limited access mode.

Portable radio stations, among which there are satellite communication models, have already been mastered by communications workers during the completed field exits.

By the end of the year, the installation of the electronic document management system (EDMS) in the headquarters structures of the association will be completed. SED allows you to instantly deliver information from one user to another. Now this process lasts from several hours to several days.

The Russian-Soviet-Russian army has always had communication problems. take for example any war. In the memoirs, both pilots and tankers and gunners complain about communication. A recent example is the war 080808. Now it seems they have drawn conclusions from this.

In the beginning of the 90s, in our military unit, all communications were repeatedly out of order due to disrepair. Sometimes the part was completely completely unconnected with the outside world, but better late than never before, communication is one of the first things that needs to be modernized in my opinion as a signalman. Russia is far behind in the production of microcircuits, boards, etc. I bet that the filling in these radio stations is imported

Not necessary. It is possible that the chips were made by Sitronics.

Thank you for the information, but I think that Sitronics is far from the very same Cisco, Siemens, Alcatel and even Chinese Huawei and ZTE

Well, to be honest, I don’t understand much in microelectronics, but it’s better than nothing, especially since it is still the first place in Eastern Europe.

No sense. When a sustainable management system appears, that is the question. Radio stations are just a tool.
