Zelensky admitted to the inability of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to conduct offensive operations
Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine lack the ability to conduct offensive operations. The Ukrainian president expressed his opinion during an interview with British journalists.
According to the "guarantor", Ukraine is much inferior to Russia in terms of technology. Thus, offensive actions are fraught with heavy losses for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. At the same time, Zelensky stressed that saving the lives of his soldiers is his top priority. This is despite the fact that every day, according to him, Ukrainian troops lose up to 100 killed and up to 500 wounded (according to the Russian Ministry of Defense, these figures are at least three times higher).
In this regard, Zelensky's statement looks extremely cynical in the light of the events taking place on the fronts.
In some areas, demoralized Ukrainian soldiers are forced literally at gunpoint to launch senseless counterattacks, many of which end in disaster. At the same time, on TV, a simple man in the street is constantly told about "overcoming the aggressor."
It is not yet clear what Zelensky's "defeatist" rhetoric is connected with. Perhaps he is once again trying to "pity" Western partners and beg for equipment, which the Armed Forces of Ukraine so lack for the so-called victory over Russia.
However, it is possible that the head of the Kyiv regime is preparing the ground to justify the endless defeats of the Ukrainian army and conclude a truce on our terms. This is exactly what a number of Western politicians have been pushing him to do recently.
In addition, now Zelensky has a “reinforced concrete” reason: after all, the life of every Ukrainian soldier is dear to him.
It is interesting what numerous Ukrainian “experts” like Zhdanov and Arestovich will say to this, who prophesied for Ukraine a successful counteroffensive against an “exhausted” and “lost its technical potential enemy” as early as July...
