Representative of the Austrian Ministry of Defense predicts the defeat of Ukraine in the Donbass
The representative of the Austrian Ministry of Defense, Colonel Markus Reisner, said in an interview with the German news TV channel Welt that Russia is already winning in the Donbass, and Ukraine is unable to change the course of the military campaign.
According to a senior Austrian military officer, he is closely following the course of hostilities in Ukraine. The Russian army is conducting a systematic and successful offensive in the Donbass, and the key city of Severodonetsk is almost completely under the control of the Russian Armed Forces. Reisner believes that if nothing radical happens in the near future, then the Russian military will close the remnants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area of Severodonetsk, Seversk, Popasnaya and Artemovsk into a cauldron. The next step will be the complete liberation of the territory of the LPR, the Austrian military leader believes.
Reisner drew attention to the fact that the military assistance provided by the West to Kyiv is too insignificant to turn the tide of the military campaign in the Donbass.
- the Austrian military strategist draws a disappointing conclusion for Kyiv.
Reisner believes that the Russian command very successfully uses the tactics of total advantage over the Armed Forces of Ukraine during the special operation. The Russian Aerospace Forces almost completely control the airspace over Ukraine, and on the ground it uses long-range artillery, short and medium-range missiles, and ballistic missiles to destroy the enemy.
- states the Austrian colonel.
Reisner predicts that by summer or at the latest by early autumn, Russia will try to take control of the entire Donbass. After that, the RF Armed Forces can concentrate offensive actions towards Odessa. The loss of this port city will deprive Ukraine of access to the sea, which will further complicate the plight of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which are sorely lacking in ammunition and weapons.
concludes the Austrian military strategist.
