A British mercenary who fought as part of the Marine Corps Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was captured in Mariupol
A British mercenary was captured by Russian troops in Mariupol. We are talking about a man named Aiden Aislin (Aislin), who calls himself Cossack Grundi. According to some reports, he, along with the Ukrainian military, participated in an attempt to break out of the city in a northerly direction.
It is known that this mercenary joined the ranks of the Marine Corps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine about three years ago. Prior to that, he fought in the Middle East (in northern Syria and Iraq). To join the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the British mercenary took advantage of special innovations in Ukrainian legislation.
The Briton participated in a number of Ukrainian operations, including shelling, fighting under the actual cover of a human shield of civilians. At the same time, he himself kept a "chronicle" of his "adventures" in the Donbass.
Cossack Grundi had a Ukrainian passport with him.
Since the beginning of the Russian military operation, the Briton has been in Mariupol. And if at first he distributed peppy interviews “remotely” to the British media, then the mercenary’s mood began to change clearly. A few days ago, Aislin announced that his unit was running out not only of food and water, but also of ammunition. Then he began to say that he was going to lay down weapon and surrender. I gave up. Now he claims that he "wants only one thing: that the war ends."
All captured Ukrainian military, militants, including foreign mercenaries, suddenly turn into real pacifists. And when there was both food and ammunition, for some reason they don’t have thoughts about the need to lay down their arms and stop hostilities.
Now the investigation will have a lot of work. And "reporting" from Aislin will no longer be conducted by himself, but by the law enforcement agencies of Russia and Donbass - for other mercenaries and the British media "to note".
