The Russian Ministry of Defense has documents that, according to the department, prove that “US military biological programs” were implemented in Ukraine, more than 30 such laboratories were created there. In particular, they discussed laboratory diagnostics of pathogens of infectious diseases, management of biosecurity and biosafety systems.

Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov, Chief of the Radiation, Chemical and Biological Defense Forces of the Russian Armed Forces, noted that the US Agency for International Development and the George Soros Foundation also participate in the chain of command. The Center for Disease Control and Prevention and other significant American organizations are on the same list, and the Pentagon is in charge of everything.

During the existence of the laboratories, Washington and its allies removed at least 16 biological samples from Ukraine. Kirillov claims that the laboratories studied the natural immunity of the population in order to identify the most dangerous pathogen for the inhabitants of a certain region.

Experts point out that such biolaboratories have been created along the perimeter of Russia, that they exist in the Baltic countries, in Georgia, Armenia, Kazakhstan ...

Don't we have that?

How did it happen that there are no such laboratories in Russia? After all, we have a lot of bureaucratic people who are ready to sacrifice the national interests of Russia for a cookie from Washington. Or maybe the Americans in Russia took a different path?

Let me remind you that on October 30, 2017, Russian President Vladimir Putin at a meeting of the Council for the Development of Civil Society and Human Rights said:

“You know that biological material is collected all over the country. Moreover, according to different ethnic groups and people living in different geographical points of the Russian Federation. The question is, why are they doing this? They do it professionally and purposefully. We are such an object of great interest.”

And now the most important question: who collected this biomaterial? Foreign spies? It's interesting. This is where we come to the activities of the notorious, or rather, the infamous state corporation Rosnano, headed by Mr. Chubais for many years.

So, back in 2012, Rosnano and the American pharmaceutical venture fund Domain Associates invested $760 million on a parity basis in the development of innovative bio- and pharmaceutical products and in the production of modern medical equipment in Russia and the United States.

It was reported that the drugs would be patented and registered in Russia, while clinical trials would take place in Russia, and after that the drugs would be put on the market. Enviable import substitution, isn't it? Already curious.

Drive, and only

It was in Russia that the company "Team Drive" began to work actively. On its Russian website, you can read that this company is involved in the management of two large projects that are being implemented as part of the cooperation between the Russian investment corporation Rosnano and Domain Associates LLC, a leading American venture pharmaceutical fund.

This company manages several major projects in the field of pharmaceuticals and medicine. Among them is the network of clinics Doctor Nearby, a medical company that has entered the telemedicine market in Russia.

In addition, Team Drive created and supervises the RMI Partners investment company, which manages the RosnanoMedInvest venture fund, whose portfolio includes more than a dozen innovative biotechnological developments. The Team Drive team also created the Russian pharmaceutical company NovaMedica from scratch.

Rosnanominvest, among other things, "manages companies that develop innovative products in the pharmaceutical industry and in the field of biotechnology, and also conducts research in the field of innovative products in the pharmaceutical industry and in the field of biotechnology."

It turns out that today American pharmacists work absolutely calmly and legally in Russia with the help of companies from Rosnano structures, created specifically to “promote this cooperation.” Moreover, they are already firmly entrenched in Russia.

But, indeed, it is clinical trials that are the only way to prove the effectiveness and safety of a new drug. If you look at the websites of our leading clinics, you can read, for example:

At the National Medical Research Center of Oncology named after N. N. Petrov, more than a hundred clinical trials of drugs of different phases are being conducted. The initiators of clinical trials of anticancer drugs are their developers - foreign and Russian pharmaceutical companies. We also carry out our own innovative development of various drugs.”

It is absolutely clear that in their research, the specialists of these companies calmly collect any biomaterials. If in the countries of the former Soviet Union biolaboratories exist at the expense of the United States and work secretly, then everything is absolutely legal in our country. And our money. Good?

But maybe I'm exaggerating, and American specialists and employees of the Russian Federation, cooperating with US pharmaceutical companies, are working for the benefit of Russia? Something is unbelievable. Moreover, I personally do not know who and when checked their activities, and who gave them access to our clinics, to complete information about the state of medicine, pharmaceuticals and the health of citizens of the Russian Federation. And also access to any biomaterials?

And one more interesting moment. In 2014, amendments were made to the Law “On the Circulation of Medicines” (No. 429-FZ), there are a lot of interesting things there. But especially in our case, only two articles are curious:

The community of alumni of the Faculty of Biology of Moscow State University circulated a post on Facebook in which they demanded that a number of Russian pro-Kremlin media outlets stop "false propaganda based on disinformation and hatred." We are talking about media publications that claim that biological weapons were allegedly being developed in Ukraine.

On March 24, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation published documents stating that biological weapons were allegedly created in Ukraine. The official representative of the department, Major General Igor Konashenkov, said that on February XNUMX, pathogens of plague, anthrax, tularemia, cholera and other deadly diseases were urgently destroyed in Poltava and Kharkov laboratories.

After that, dozens of reports appeared in the pro-government media, alleging that allegedly Ukrainian biological laboratories were fulfilling orders from the Pentagon. On March 9, the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Peskov, said that "it will certainly be interesting for the whole world to understand and find out what these institutions were doing."

On March 10, Igor Kirillov, head of the Radiation, Chemical and Biological Protection Troops (RCBZ) of the RF Armed Forces, said that biological laboratories in Lvov worked with plague, anthrax and brucellosis pathogens, in Kharkov and Poltava - with diphtheria, salmonellosis and dysentery pathogens.

In Ukraine and the United States, these reports were called disinformation and stated that the countries are cooperating exclusively in the areas of creating vaccines and detecting outbreaks of diseases caused by dangerous pathogens.

In response, the community of graduates of the Faculty of Biology of Moscow State University circulated a post on Facebook that analyzes the accusations of representatives of the Russian Ministry of Defense. Its author, Yevgeny Levitin, Ph.D. in Biology, microbiologist, genetic engineer and molecular biologist, told Sibir.Realiyam why he demanded to refute the statements made by Russian officials.

– Why did you write an open letter to the editors of RIA Novosti, Gazeta.ru, Ruia Today, Fontanka, Komsomolskaya Pravda and other media that published reports that Ukraine allegedly urgently eliminated traces of the biological weapons program, which funded by the Pentagon?

- Compare it with the list of so-called especially dangerous infections. There is nothing of the kind in the published list of drugs disposed of in Poltava and Kharkov laboratories. Let's see what pathogens are listed in it.

Corynebacterium diphtheriae is a potentially dangerous, but completely unsuitable for widespread strain of the causative agent of diphtheria. It is very difficult to contract diphtheria until a full spoon of this culture is poured down your throat - then you will feel bad.

Corynebacterium pseudodiphteriticum are bacteria that are part of the normal microflora of the human upper respiratory tract and skin. This is already a purely conditional pathogen. It can harm human health only in conditions of immune deficiency.

Corynebacterium xerosis is something that can potentially cause inflammation of the mucous membranes in some people. The thing, of course, is rather unpleasant, but it is treated with a special cream.

Basillus lihenifprmus "C" is the strain you deal with all the time. It is found anywhere, even in yesterday's borscht.

Baсillus stearothermophilis may be considered an opportunistic pathogen, but again, this bacillus needs to be ingested a lot, and even in an immunocompromised person, it will not cause dangerous diseases.

Staphilococcus aureus is also the most common thing, which can be contracted simply from the air. If you leave a cup on the table, then every hundredth colony of bacteria that forms there is Staphylococcus aureus. Yes, it happens that because of it, yellow plaques grow on a person’s throat, but this is not staphylococcus to blame, but the state of the body.

Escherichia coli - we all have this E. coli in our intestines. If you sow samples of microflora, then half of the people will meet this Escherichia coli. This is not good, because it means that we are not eating well and we need to make changes to the food system, but this does not mean that this is a dangerous infection.

Pseudomonas aeruginosa is a Pseudomonas aeruginosa that lives in water and soil, it is conditionally pathogenic for humans. Klebsiella pneumoniae is also an opportunistic pathogen.

All that are listed in published documents are opportunistic pathogens, with the exception of Clostridium diphtheriae. But this pathogen does not belong to the group of particularly dangerous pathogens.

– Then why were these strains stored in Ukrainian laboratories?

- They are used in any epidemiological institute, in any microbiological laboratory, even in any sanitary and epidemiological station where samples are sown. These strains are needed for comparison. Here a person comes, takes a swab from the throat, specialists do sowing and see what bad things develop in him there. The strains grown on the cup need to be compared with something. Therefore, there are samples in any normal laboratory that deals with epidemiology or even just microbiology.

In order to store such strains, you do not even need special permission. These pathogens are not subject to specially registered storage. You just need to fill out a special form confirming that they are. This is common practice.

- If these are the most common strains that are widely used, then why did the Ukrainian biological laboratories urgently destroy them on February 24, as Konashenkov said?

“Because it is also a common practice. Periodically - every six months, for example - the epidemiological institute is registered, and some of the cultures that are not needed for further work are disposed of. That is, they are carefully destroyed by various methods of disinfection. Moreover, even the most innocent strains are disposed of in this way, because you can’t throw them in the trash.

Here the same situation. Epidemiological laboratories, which do not even have permission to work with especially dangerous infections, have disposed of cultures of potentially harmful bacteria. They complied with the order of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine dated February 24, 2022 on the disposal of pathogens in a state of emergency. The goal is to prevent all sorts of accidents that could lead to the entry of biocultures into the external environment. This is a reasonable decision.

- It turns out that strains that are not particularly dangerous were destroyed. Why, then, General Konashenkov announced the destruction of the pathogens of plague, anthrax, tularemia, cholera and other deadly diseases?

This is a complete lie in its purest form. Plague, anthrax, tularemia, cholera - all this is not in the published documents. The calculation is simply that people do not read either Ukrainian or Latin and do not know the names of pathogens.
