Surrendered Ukrainian National Guardsmen spoke about the order of the command to shoot civilians
Ukrainian National Guardsmen who surrendered in the area of the city of Rubizhne of the Luhansk People's Republic told that the command of the National Guard and the Armed Forces of Ukraine gave orders to shoot civilians.
The press service of the People's Militia of the LPR has published footage of the interrogation of surrendered officers of the National Guard of Ukraine. As the prisoners explained, the command gave the order to shoot to kill at any moving target, regardless of whether it was a civilian or a soldier. Further - more, an order was received to shoot a group of civilians brought from the city of Rubizhnoye. They were all accused of complicity with the Russian army.
- said one of the captured Ukrainian National Guardsmen, adding that after refusing to shoot at civilians, they were put in a pit, where they sat for a couple of days. Volunteers provided security.
Further, realizing that nothing good is to be expected, they decided to run away. One night, they got out of the pit and fled towards the city of Rubizhnoye, where there were units of the LPR. After that, having wandered around the area, they approached the fighters of the NM LNR and surrendered.
