Ukraine. Nothing is finished yet
Initially, I wanted to talk about how Ukraine courageously repulsed the attack of the Russian army, launched a counteroffensive and drove the Russians back to their original positions. As the whole country after that, in a single impulse, dressed up in embroidered shirts and ribbons in the colors of the Ukrainian flag and sang the anthem of Ukraine in chorus in the morning.
The events I described above actually happened. But they happened in the clouded minds of not only Ukrainian, but also American and Western politicians.
As Minister Lavrov predicted at a press conference after negotiations with the British Foreign Minister, after the end of the exercises, units from the training grounds reached out to their places of permanent deployment, but the West and Kiev announced another victory over the aggressor.
It is clear that a virtual war, a virtual victory and a very real celebration of victory, no matter how the Ukrainian president calls it, is nothing but a feuilleton. And so it was. I really wrote a feuilleton. Even wrote. One pleases that I did not send it to the editor.
I did not send it because immediately after the holiday, at night, shells and mines flew towards the republics. They flew not at the positions of the Republicans, but at residential areas, at civilians. For the elderly, women, children, the disabled.
We flew just like that, because someone wanted to. He wanted not to attack and "liberate Ukrainian lands" from the invaders, who were born on these lands for the most part. I just wanted to kill!
I was struck by the meanness of the Ukrainian authorities and the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, when a fake appeared on the network about the shelling of a kindergarten in Novaya Kandrashevskaya. Readers probably remember my reports of incomprehensible explosions on the other side of the line of contact. Then we assumed that video fakes were being prepared. And here is one work vrakiTV already thrown.
Let me remind you that a photo appeared on the network where a hole was punched in the wall of the kindergarten, and from the signature it becomes clear that this was either a 120-mm mine or a 122-mm projectile (according to various sources). They allegedly fired from the side of the Lugansk people's militia. It is clear that this fake is not intended for Republicans, or at least for those people who are familiar with Soviet artillery.
Already the first picture puts everything in its place. A cunning mine or projectile turned out to be very kind. She broke through the wall, but in such a way that even the glass in the neighboring windows remained intact. A mine or projectile knocks out a brick in the course of flight, and does not pile it up under a hole.
If they shot at the wall, then they shot with an ordinary blank. And they fired from a fairly close distance. Further more. The 120th not only breaks through the wall, according to the Ukrainian version, but also does not explode inside. At least, I did not see the consequences of the explosion of such a powerful ammunition in the photo. And finally - a geographical map of the area!
We just take a ruler and draw a line from the kindergarten to the nearest LNM position. Total 8 km through a rather dense building and construction. The Republicans have an interesting mine. It flies the farthest, flies around houses, fences, walls that are unnecessary for her personally ... Self-guided and self-controlled ...
I understand that I paid a lot of attention to one fake, but it boiled over. One of them smashed the country with his bubble of chalk, others are trying to justify the murders of civilians in Donbass with fake mines.
Why Zelensky went to Donbass
Now I will say a completely absurd phrase for many. Zelensky went to Donbass... to meet with President Putin! Yes, everything that happened today in the Donbass was intended to force the Russian president to meet with Zelensky.
Those more than 200 arrivals that observers counted, those broken houses, those fakes, and in general everything is directed at the Russian president. It is aimed at making President Vladimir Putin feel sorry for the people of Donetsk and still sit down at the negotiating table with Zelensky.
The logic is so childish that it is simply striking in its naivety. If Zelensky flatly refuses to talk to Donetsk and Lugansk, Putin is simply obliged, out of philanthropy, to talk to Zelensky. But let's remember the words of the Russian president, where he directly spoke about the possibility of losing Ukrainian statehood.
This demonstrative arrival and boat trip supposedly in the area of active hostilities. All these photos in the social. networks, where the heroic commander-in-chief wanders back and forth under the whistle of bullets and the roar of explosions. All this tinsel is for housewives.
And in the end, a request to Italy to assist in organizing a meeting with Putin. This, at least, was stated by Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi. And at the same time, the arrival of the commander-in-chief and, probably, his order, otherwise it simply cannot be, elementary army subordination, became the reason for the activation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the line of contact.
Will President Putin listen to the request of the Italian prime minister? Naturally, no. Moreover, I think that after the publication in the media that there was such a request at all, Draghi will not even raise the issue of something like that. Fairly believing that he had already conveyed Zelensky's words to President Putin.
Attempt to coerce Putin with the help of the OSCE failed
But this is not the first attempt to use the "gentlemanship" of Putin and Russian diplomats. The “quick change of picture” in international relations does not allow most readers to capture all the movements of Kiev. Let me remind you that at the end of the main part of the exercises, General Shoigu announced the beginning of the return of units and subunits to their places of permanent deployment.
Ukraine immediately demanded that all documents on exercises and troop movements within the framework of the OSCE Vienna Document be made available to it. Kuleba immediately responded on Twitter with a rather lengthy post:
“We continue to demand transparency from Russia, which refused to attend yesterday's Vienna Document meeting. <...> We once again call on Russia to address the legitimate concerns of participating States and use OSCE tools to defuse tensions caused by its military actions near the border with Ukraine. Applications for the withdrawal of troops are not enough. We need transparency and facts."
This statement is more like another kiss from the American president than the action of the foreign minister of a European state. It fits perfectly with Biden's statement about the invasion of the Russian army into Ukraine and does not logically connect with the Russian-Belarusian exercises.
We heard something similar from other European politicians. For example, President Macron "did not believe" that the troops were actually returning home. He was supported by some leaders of other European states, referring to the data of their own, and most importantly, American intelligence.
Even the independent Minister of Defense Alexei Reznikov could not resist. Unlike Kuleba, he had the sense not to deny the transfer of troops to places of permanent deployment, but he would like the troops to be stationed further from the borders of Ukraine.
Considering that units of the Central and Eastern districts are now on the road, Russia cannot fulfill Reznikov's requirements. Otherwise, it will cause fear in our other long-term "partner" - Japan. And we are obliged to protect the nerves of the samurai.
We will continue to "prepare an offensive for tomorrow"
So, what do we have for today, February 17, 2022. Moscow did not receive an answer to its main question regarding Russia's security from NATO. The West continues to try to replace NATO with Ukraine and put Kiev under attack by the Russian army. Thus, "hush up for a while" the question of NATO-Russia relations.
Nobody wants to fight with Ukraine and for Ukraine. She is not interested in anyone. Kiev cannot remain in oblivion simply because it wants to eat very much, but there is nothing to buy food. Loss of interest means loss of credit. But attacking Russia is scary. Kiev has already come to terms with the fact that Ukraine will not join NATO.
The United States takes a generally paradoxical position. On the one hand, Moscow must be punished, so we will pump Ukraine with weapons. Bye weapons little has been set. On the other hand, the United States itself will under no circumstances go to war with Russia. However, to talk about victories like the victory on February 16, the American press will be very loud. And organize such victories too.
Of course, this is a rough distribution of forces. It can be expanded further, but the general plan of "desires" of various countries and groups of countries is more or less clear. From this it becomes clear that soon we will again "attack Ukraine." By the way, no one has yet denied the previously announced date of February 20. It is quite possible that the next celebration of the victory in Kiev will take place next Sunday.
Kiev will continue provocations in the Donbass. Everything is clear here. The problem has only three solutions! Not a hundred, not a thousand, but only three. And on all decisions, the consent of the parties has not been reached. First, Ukraine begins to implement the Minsk agreements and thereby ends the war. This is not what Kiev wants.
Secondly, Kiev abandons Minsk and begins to seize the republics by force. After Russia's intervention, the war stops, as well as, possibly, the statehood of Ukraine. It’s scary personally for Zelensky and his henchmen. And third, we leave everything as it is today. This is not what Moscow wants, as the Kremlin has repeatedly stated.
