Today we are talking about a man who has come a long way from a submariner to the Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy.

Nikolai Anatolyevich Evmenov was born in Moscow in 1962. Your way on the Naval navy started almost 40 years ago - in 1982, when he entered the VVMUPP them. Lenin Komsomol in Leningrad. After graduating from a higher military educational institution in 1987, 25-year-old Nikolai Evmenov was sent to serve in the Pacific Fleet, where he received the position of commander of an electronic navigation group of a navigational combat unit (CU) on one of the Soviet nuclear submarines. At the Pacific Fleet, a submarine officer rose to the rank of ship commander.

In 1998 Nikolay Evmenov graduated from the V.I. N.G. Kuznetsov, and then, in 2003, became a graduate of the Military Academy of the General Staff of the RF Armed Forces.

Immediately before his appointment as commander of the submarine forces of the Pacific Fleet in December 2011 (exactly 10 years ago), he had already commanded the submarine formations of the Pacific Fleet.

But in this high position, the rise of the career ladder for Nikolai Evmenov was by no means over. The very next year he was appointed to the post of first deputy commander of the Northern Fleet. After another 3 years, in 2015, the vice admiral became acting commander of the Northern Fleet, and in 2016 - commander, replacing Admiral Vladimir Korolev in this post.

In 2019, Admiral N.A. Evmenov was appointed Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy by the decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

It should be noted that Evmenov became the second in stories of our country, a submariner who received this high post. The first was Admiral Vladimir Korolev, who took up a high position in 2016. Moreover, Evmenov became the first native of the city of Moscow, who made his way to the post of Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy.

During his service, Admiral N.A. Evmenov was repeatedly awarded with insignia: orders and medals. Among them are the departmental medal “For Distinction in Special Operations”, the Order “For Naval Merit”, the Order “For Military Merit”, the Medal “For Military Valor”, the Order of Alexander Nevsky, etc.

According to his colleagues, Nikolai Evmenov has shown leadership qualities since his studies at the Higher Naval School of Diving. During his studies, Nikolai had no complaints, with his successes he stood out against the background of many other cadets. As noted, even at the time Nikolai Evmenov entered the Naval Academy, it was clear that he would not only graduate successfully, but also achieve high results and successful career advancement already in the highest command personnel of the Russian Navy. Which is exactly what happened. In 2022 Nikolay Evmenov will celebrate his 60th anniversary.

In our group of the river school, more than half were sailors from the nuclear submarine, they not only could not stand on skates, but also ate on foot, they could not jump over a horse in the gym. No.

A good tendency - for a long time it was necessary to appoint only submariners to this post, because they are the main force of the fleet, and all the rest are only servants for them.
The new trend can only be welcomed.

In a global war with the full-scale use of TNW, but in peacetime and even with limited wars, this is not at all the case!
But it is precisely the submariners who agree with the appointment to high posts! These are people who have proven steadfastness and courage already in peacetime, and even accustomed to acting without waiting for a signal from above.

The first submariner was Vladimir Nikolaevich Chernavin. So Admiral Evmenov is already the third in history ...
