State awards from the hands of the president received 14 officers who distinguished themselves during the exercise. The ship and coastal forces will have to complete a number of combat training missions at sea and on land ranges in the Republic of Dagestan and the Astrakhan Region.
In accordance with the plan, the ship groups of the Caspian Flotilla will practice practical actions to repel enemy air attacks with firing at air targets, launching missile and artillery strikes against a detachment of enemy warships. The exercise scenario envisages the landing of the marines and the conduct of defensive and offensive operations.
Much attention during the exercise will be given to working out questions on the action of the ships of the Caspian Flotilla and the Ball rocket complex when performing simultaneous rocket firing during naval combat and the destruction of ship groups and paratroopers of a conditional enemy.
In total, from the Caspian flotilla, up to a thousand military personnel, as well as Tatarstan and Dagestan rocket ships, landing craft, support vessels, to 2012 units of military and special equipment will take part in the Kavkaz-50 exercise.
