Three repaired aircraft and a helicopter were solemnly handed over to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Ukrainian pilots received Su-27P1M, An-26, L-39 and Mi-8MT.
This was reported by the "ArmyInform" news agency, which belongs to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
The ceremony was held at the Ozernoye military airfield in the Zhytomyr region and was timed to coincide with the Day of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Documents for aircraft were handed over personally by the Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine and concurrently by acting Head of the Center Air Command, Major General Yuri Stavsky.
The Su-27, repaired and modernized in Zaporozhye, was handed over to the 831st tactical brigade. aviation... The combat training L-39, which was being repaired in Chuguev, was sent to the 203rd training air brigade. An old An-26 transport aircraft was repaired and brought into compliance with "NATO standards" in Kiev at the "Plant 410 GA", which specializes in the repair of civil aircraft. After that, together with the Mi-8MT helicopter repaired at the Aviakon State Enterprise, it entered service with the 456th brigade of transport aviation.
What exactly is the compliance of the An-26 with the notorious NATO standards after its repair has not been explained.
Also in Ozernoye, an award ceremony was held for the personnel of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in connection with the 30th anniversary of the founding of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The best servicemen received awards and valuable gifts from the hands of Major General Stavsky and the leadership of the Zhytomyr region.
