A young man was detained in Moscow for threatening to stage a terrorist attack in one of the Moscow schools
The young man, who threatened to arrange shooting in one of the Moscow schools, was detained by law enforcement officers. This was announced by a source in the emergency services.
According to available information, an 18-year-old young man wrote on the VKontakte social network that he intends to stage a terrorist attack in a Moscow school. In a commentary on one of the topics, he wrote that he plans to arrange shooting on December 7. The recording during the monitoring of social networks was discovered by employees of the Department of Education and transmitted information about this to law enforcement agencies, reports TASS.
According to other information, the young man threatened to set fire to a school in the south-west of Moscow, he wrote about this in the WhatsApp messenger. Today he approached the school, climbed over the fence and walked around the entrance for a long time, which aroused the suspicion of the school guard, who called the police.
So it was or otherwise, but the police reacted to the message and managed to detain the young man at the entrance to the school. He had an air pistol, three gas cartridges and three knives with him. In relation to the detainee, a pre-investigation check was started, conversations were held with him and with his mother.
Meanwhile, in the Yaroslavl region, law enforcement officers detained a 16-year-old young man who called on social networks for direct attacks on the authorities. According to the DSP of the FSB, the teenager was a participant in closed telegram chats, in which he called for the commission of terrorist acts against the authorities. He independently made explosives, and also kept a sawn-off shotgun and ammunition for it, found during the search.
A criminal case was initiated against the detainee, and a preventive measure was taken into custody. Investigative and operational actions continue.
