Lukashenko: the West is creating a bridgehead against Russia in order to pin it to the Ural ridge
The President of Belarus made a statement regarding the security issues of the republic. According to Alexander Lukashenko, a hybrid war unleashed by Western countries is being waged against Belarus, and this war can turn into a "hot phase" at any moment.
Lukashenko stressed that a hybrid war against Belarus is being waged in the media, diplomacy, politics, and the economy.
President of Belarus:
The head of the Belarusian state said that difficult times have come in the republic, and it is necessary to react to these negative changes.
Lukashenko:
The President of the Republic of Belarus recalled the attacks on Belarus in connection with the landing of the plane of the Irish airline in Minsk. Lukashenko recalled that then the West initiated an investigation against the background of the next sanctions imposed on Minsk, but so far no one has announced the results of this investigation.
The Belarusian president added that the West is ready to put forward new claims against Minsk at any moment, even if they are far-fetched. As an example, he cited the situation with refugees on the Belarusian-Polish border. According to Lukashenka, the West itself provoked the migration crisis, and now it is trying to shift the blame onto others.
The Belarusian president also said that the West is creating a huge foothold against Russia in order to "pin it to the Ural ridge." According to the head of the Republic of Belarus, the West needs this in order to launch an offensive on Russia later. In order to turn Belarus into a part of such a bridgehead, according to Lukashenko, the West tried to use controlled or loyal people in Belarus - for example, opposition leaders whom he (Lukashenka) called “BCHB-shniki”.
