From the Nizhny Novgorod region, there are reports of an emergency at a defense enterprise. According to the latest information, we are talking about a plant in the city of Dzerzhinsk, which manufactures products, including for military purposes.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Nizhny Novgorod region, at the plant in Dzerzhinsk, several explosions thundered within a short time interval.
Reporters, referring to sources, write that the explosions took place at the Sverdlov plant, which produces explosives and ammunition for various weapons.
Currently, five explosions are known. Moreover, initially a fire alarm was triggered at the plant. Possible detonation of ammunition has been reported.
According to preliminary information, as a result of the emergency at the plant in Dzerzhinsk, there are victims. It is reported that while we are talking about two injured women. The local press writes that women are in a moderate severity.
Emergency teams and ambulances are working at the site of the emergency. A plume of smoke is reportedly rising from the site. The territory of the plant and the adjacent areas are cordoned off. People are being evacuated.
