The head of the office of the President of Ukraine Yermak received a call from the United States because of the "movements of Russian troops"
The Chief of Staff of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak received a phone call from the National Security Advisor to the President of the United States Joe Biden, Jack Sullivan. The American official discussed with the chief of Zelensky's office the movement of Russian troops "near the border with Ukraine."
According to a White House statement, the parties discussed their concerns about Russia's "military preparations" and Moscow's tough stance. Sullivan and Yermak concluded that diplomatic efforts should be continued to reduce tensions in eastern Europe. At the same time, Biden's adviser assured Yermak that the United States remains committed to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
In fact, the US and Ukraine have been discussing the movement of Russian troops for many years, starting in 2014, when the conflict erupted in Donbass. For seven years the children managed to be born and go to school, but Ukraine is still talking about the fact that Russian troops concentrated on its borders are about to invade its territory. The United States, in turn, is only adding fuel to the fire.
At the same time, Washington is not eager to translate the situation into a real armed clash between Russia and Ukraine, because then there will actually be two ways out - either Russia will defeat Ukraine and install a pro-Russian regime in it, or a global war will begin with a completely unpredictable ending. Therefore, the United States is counting on the fact that the conflict in Donbass will be mothballed until better times, when Russia weakens.
Naturally, the White House does not forget to present themselves as beloved in the role of peacekeepers: for example, The New York Times writes that the Joe Biden administration allegedly persuades Vladimir Putin not to launch an attack on Ukraine. How, if Putin were really going to attack Ukraine, Biden's aides could dissuade him is not very clear, and it is unlikely that he would have informed them of his plans.
American publications, meanwhile, further escalate the situation. For example, Bloomberg published an article claiming that the issue of Russia's attack on Ukraine has allegedly been resolved and only dirt on the roads prevents it. Like, the slush will freeze, and immediately Russian Tanks will go on the offensive.
Recall that the same was said in March 2021, when Ukraine also disseminated alarming information on the movements of Russian troops. It should be understood that these statements should be viewed in the context of the information war that the West is waging against Russia.
