Once again, we will change the tanks for bananas. The country has a lot of armored vehicles that would be profitable to sell, but strong countries buy expensive, but weak money does not winked But to participate in such exhibitions is definitely necessary, the main competitor in this sector (armored vehicles), as it seems to me for Russia, is Ukraine IMHO wink

The Chinese by nature climb everywhere, these are cockroach people who will crawl into the slightest crack and "clean up" all the crumbs, but really, look at the countries with income all under the heel of the Amers, and the poor still use T-34s and do not "soar". During the Soviet era, a lot of iron was installed there to establish socialism. They don't need a modern one, not the same level of the database ... IMHO smile

a spender - Colleague, the place where the USSR did not supply "iron" is to South Africa, and this country cannot be called poor either, South Africa is not a "banana" republic at all, but the fact that our technology is competitive with them can be explained by various factors and operating conditions, and price, and quality (at least in comparison with the Chinese one). In South Africa, as far as I know, even our Gazelle sold well, let alone military equipment.
And about the nesting of "countries with income" to the United States, this is not entirely true - our helicopters in the world are sorted out like hot cakes, even the Yusy themselves buy them, and our other weapons are far from being exchanged for bananas - for those who are looking for simpler and cheaper there is a Chinese export, with which, as you correctly wrote, they climb into all the cracks.
And in addition, about deliveries to Africa T-34 - these machines were then imported into Angola, but what else was there to deliver? And it wasn’t even a matter of price or the level of training of their soldiers, just that the T-34 version completely lacked electrical wiring (a pneumatic starter, turret rotation and lying guns through a gearbox), in all other models, after a few days the machine was in nothing remained of the tropical forest from the insulation of wires, the car became unworkable - this is where the T-34 came from. I’ll say more, I served in the SA in the first half of the 70s - so the radio-chemical reconnaissance platoon was equipped with these machines for almost the same reason - neither the electrician nor the electronics will function in the radioactive damage zone, but the mechanics with manual transmission will, at least and not very long ... hi

A French article appeared on InoSmi, it seems to me it will be interesting for forum users to get acquainted, stereotypes in the comments amaze laughing

The Russian army became interested in VBCI, the French Nexter infantry fighting vehicle. The officers who came to familiarize themselves with this technique seemed to be impressed by its capabilities, and above all, by its speed indicators. At the moment, the Russians have only the aging BTR-80, which were developed in the 1980s, and in essence are the development of the BTR-60 and BTR-70 of the 1950s ... In addition to VBCI, they inspected with envy the sets of individual equipment of the Félin infantryman. That is, in the long term it is worth waiting for the signing of contracts? It is still difficult to say anything concrete, but the sale of Mistral helicopter carriers opened the door: today, the Russian armed forces can buy weapons abroad, including in France.

It is surprising to see that the minds of some people are still clogged with a “red” threat, although over the past 30 years the main danger has been the United States and its desire for world domination (and resources). They destabilized the Middle East and all countries that are trying to resist them (in South America and other continents). Go back to the origins and remember the General’s steps to draw closer to the East and strengthen equilibrium. Do not go on about the media and their hatred of all leaders who do not fit into the concept of political correctness!

What kind of a mania is it to sell Russian military equipment, Mistral and armored vehicles ... Why not Hollande then go to the Kremlin and lead France from Russia ???

Alexey, I will try to find an article about the "Kuznetsov" campaign near Scotland in the English press. I think you will like it

          Found:
The Russian aircraft carrier cruiser Admiral Kuznetsov scared the Scots in earnest. The thing is that off the coast of Scotland the ship overtook the weather, and he had to anchor 30 miles (48 kilometers) from the British Isles. Of course, outside the territorial waters of the British Kingdom.

Since about half of the ships and planes of the Crown were sent to the Mediterranean Sea to “bring about democracy”, for example, in Libya, and the other was sent to the wreck, then only the destroyer “York” was on guard of British waters. Which was thrown from Portsmund (1500 km from the scene) for urgent monitoring of "Admiral Kuznetsov."

A similar event has not happened already here as 20 years.

Let me remind you that as part of the battle group "Admiral Kuznetsov" holds the path to the coastal waters of Syria.

Here's what they wrote about it in UK forums:

“Russia has no reason to attack England and they don’t have to send ships to erase us from the map.”
“What's the problem - does anyone seriously think that they will attack us? are we a threat to them? Do we have something they need? of course not".
“My son on the frigate of York among the same 250 sons of his families. Before writing your wonderful comments, remember that the British protect our shores with obsolete equipment because of the 12-year Labor reign. ”
"Cunning Russians, leave us alone and find someone of your size."
"what? do we have a warship? Do not tell Cameron, he will put him to the needles. ”
“I won’t be surprised if we get rid of our armed forces and pay Russia to protect us.”
“Next time you can find them in our docks, refueled with our fuel.”
"God help us if they take action, but we don’t have anything to answer them."
“Don't worry, we can call big brother Sam anytime”
          .

Well, even so, bananas are also needed, and it's better than old rusty tanks that there is no one else to sell. And poor countries will slowly get used to the T-72, you look later and the T-90 will start to buy. The main thing is that they do not have American weapons, they must be accustomed to ours. Look, the Americans are buying our Mi-8 for the Afghans? ;)
