British Army Chief of Staff: Russia Threats More Than "Islamic" Terrorism
Russia is reacting to a statement by the British Army Chief of Staff Nick Carter, which he made in an interview with Telegraph. According to the general of the British armed forces, Russia is a more serious threat to the United Kingdom than Islamists from terrorist structures.
Nick Carter said that earlier in Britain it was "Islamic" terrorism that was considered the number one threat, but then "the Skripals were attacked in Salisbury, and it became clear that Russia is much more dangerous than Islamic terrorists."
Carter:
The British Army Chief of Staff added that such actions by Russia are detrimental to British interests. At the same time, apart from the case with the Skripals, which still smacks of a fair amount of provocation, Carter did not name where exactly Russia is using "instruments of force" in such a way that it threatens the interests of the British crown.
In response to Nick Carter's statements, experts in Russia note that a British high-ranking serviceman is actually making it clear that terrorism could be controlled by Western intelligence services. An example is the feeding of terrorist organizations in Syria, which has been actively used and continues to be used against the government forces of the republic. It is also noted that Carter remembered the incident in Salisbury, but for some reason did not say a word about what is with the Skripal family now, what condition is the father of the family and his daughter, whom Russia allegedly "poisoned" with Novichok.
Based on the statements of the British general, we can conclude that Britain, perceiving Russia as the main "threat", is going to confront our country militarily. We will remind that a few days ago it became known that the British are going to create a new military base in Germany "in case of a war with Russia." In London, they announced that from this base it would be possible to quickly transfer troops to the Baltic States and Poland.
