Former Rada deputy: Zelensky is going to introduce martial law in Ukraine
Having lost his electoral support, the leader of the Ukrainian "Radical Party" Oleg Lyashko spoke about the likely plans of the country's President Volodymyr Zelensky. According to the former People's Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, at the next meeting of the National Security and Defense Council, the head of state plans to announce the introduction of martial law.
The ex-deputy of the Verkhovna Rada announced that Zelensky plans to do this to correct the situation with the loss of rating points. In particular, it is indicated that Zelensky needs full control over the media, as well as over property in the country.
Lyashko:
The ex-deputy added that Zelensky has the opportunity to introduce martial law, since his party has a majority in the Rada, namely the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine must vote on this "initiative."
Certain Ukrainian experts agreed with Lyashko's judgments, noting that Zelensky could indeed introduce martial law in the country, because Kiev has already received the loans promised by the IMF, and no other receipts from large foreign creditors are expected in the near future. In the event of the announcement of the introduction of martial law, there will be no lending to the Ukrainian economy. But he will not be at this time stage, and so, because, as noted, Zelensky does not lose anything.
The introduction of martial law can also be used by the Ukrainian authorities to "solve problems" with some large banks. In particular, with the property of Kolomoisky.
The introduction of martial law in Ukraine may well take place given the number of statements about the alleged "threat of a large-scale offensive by Russian troops" that has appeared recently.
It should be recalled that a few days earlier, the press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov, noted that Russia was not going to attack either Ukraine or anyone else. At the same time, the head of the Kremlin press service called on to pay attention to the military preparations that Ukraine itself is leading.
