Military arithmetic: General Pepereslegin of the Southern Military District, having canceled one criminal case, added two more
According to investigators, in 2011, in order to receive a state-owned apartment in Moscow, Pereslegin submitted to the Housing Department of the Russian Defense Ministry fictitious documents indicating that he allegedly needs living space.
At the same time, he forgot to point out that he had previously received a four-room apartment in Tver from the Ministry of Defense, has two office apartments in Moscow and Rostov-on-Don, and also transferred the ownership of a residential building in the Tver region on the eve of his daughter.
In the second criminal case, the lieutenant general is suspected that from 2006 to 2008, he illegally used the labor of a contract soldier. First, he made repairs in Moscow apartment Pereslegin, and then for one and a half years lived at his dacha in the Tver region, where he worked as a bathhouse attendant and security guard.
At the same time in his military unit soldiers did not appear. That, however, did not prevent him from becoming a sergeant. As part of the first episode, a criminal case was initiated against the general under X. NUMX Art. 3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (using a knowingly false document). Punishment under this article provides for a fine of up to 327 thousand rubles, or in the amount of semi-annual salary or other income of the convicted person, or compulsory work for up to 80 hours, or correctional work for up to two years, or arrest for up to six months.
For the second - for hours. 1 Art. 286 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (abuse of power). Under this charge, he faces a fine of up to eighty thousand rubles, or in the amount of the salary or other income of the convicted person for a period of up to six months, or deprivation of the right to occupy certain positions or engage in certain activities for up to five years, or arrest for a term from four to six months, or imprisonment for up to four years. It is possible that both cases will be merged into one proceeding.
We will remind, earlier Pereslegin suspected that he forged the characteristic on one of the officers, after which he was dismissed. However, the Military Prosecutor’s Office later canceled the criminal case, finding that the Lieutenant General acted within his authority.
