"To the war with Ukraine": The network is discussing a snapshot of Russian T-72s with "sun visors"
Russian Tanks T-72Bs with turret-mounted visors were spotted in southern Russia. A snapshot of a military echelon carrying the above equipment appeared on the Web.
As stated in the explanation, the picture was taken in Krasnodar while the train was moving through the station. It clearly shows at least two tanks equipped with so-called "sun canopies" or "anti-javelin protection". It is not known where the echelon went, perhaps for the next exercises, perhaps already from the exercises, but this is not the most important thing. These tanks from social networks have already been sent to the "war with Ukraine".
Many commentators suggest that Russia is moving tanks closer to the border with Ukraine in connection with the latest events on the contact line, where the Armed Forces of Ukraine have established control over the village of Staromaryevka in the "gray zone". Allegedly, these tanks are preparing for a possible military conflict in the framework of forcing Ukraine to peace. And the structures installed on the tanks are designed to protect the upper part of the turret of the tanks from the Javelin ATGMs attacking the target from above.
Of course, this is only an assumption, and not supported by anything, there are no official statements or messages on this topic. In general, the Ministry of Defense did not even comment on the appearance of these very "sun visors", first shown in June 2021 at the shooting in the Rostov region. Later, a source in the military department explained that this is additional protection against tandem ammunition.
By the way, the West could have familiarized themselves with this photograph, after which they expressed concern about the "unusual movements" of Russian troops near the borders of Ukraine.
