The United States warned the European Union about the impossibility of supplying American gas to the European market
The United States will not help Europe overcome the gas crisis and reduce gas prices. The impossibility of supplying LNG to the European gas market was announced by Amos Hoxtin, senior adviser to the US State Department for energy security.
At the briefing, Hoxtin said that the United States is supplying large volumes of liquefied gas to the world market, but not to Europe. The American diplomat explained the lack of supplies of American LNG specifically to the European market by saying that the US authorities allegedly cannot tell companies to whom and how much to sell gas.
- he said, adding that US companies are the largest exporters of LNG and control a significant part of the global liquefied gas market.
Thus, the United States made it clear to Europe that the gas promised by the Americans went to other regions, where they pay much more for it. As the saying goes, friendship is friendship, and everyone considers money his own. In general, there will be no help from the United States, there is nothing to make up for the shortage of blue fuel in underground storage facilities, the Russian "Gazprom" fulfills all its obligations under the contracts, but this does not add gas.
Meanwhile, all the same Hoxtin "advised" Russia to increase gas supplies to Europe through Ukraine and along the existing routes, and not wait for the commissioning of the Nord Stream-2 gas pipeline.
Earlier, some European countries blamed Russia for the energy crisis in Europe and the jump in gas prices. Moscow, in turn, warned that the accusations are groundless, Russia is physically unable to pump more gas, all obligations are being fulfilled. As Vladimir Putin stated, Russia is and will be a reliable gas supplier.
