Aksungur's new medium-altitude drone will enhance the capabilities of the Turkish Navy

27

The Turkish Navy has adopted the new medium-altitude, long-endurance (MALE) unmanned aerial vehicle Aksungur. The first batch of UAVs has already arrived in the Turkish Navy. fleetAs the head of Turkey's Defense Industry Directorate, Ismail Demir, reported on his Twitter page, UAV Aksungur will enhance the capabilities of the Turkish Navy.

The new drone was developed by Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) based on the ANKA-S UAV, which was adopted into service in 2018. Unlike the basic version of the Aksungur UAV, also called Anka-Aksungur or Anka-2, it is made using a twin-boom design. Its main purpose is reconnaissance, patrolling and strikes.

The UAV is equipped with two Turkish turboprop engines PD-170 Dual Turbo Diesel with a capacity of 170 hp. each. The cruising speed is declared at 250 km / h, the service ceiling is 7600 meters, the maximum altitude is 12100 meters, the flight duration is more than 24 hours (the message indicates 50 hours). The payload is 750 kg, there are six suspension points for placing weapons. The drone is capable of using the entire arsenal of high-precision weaponsdeveloped by Turkish companies specifically for UAVs.

Aksungur has an installed Turkish-made satellite communication system, in the version for sea patrol or reconnaissance, it is equipped with an optoelectronic surveillance system, a camera, a radar, and a laser guidance system.

-based on the ANKA-S UAV, which was put into service in 2018
Aksungur took only 18 months to develop.
Comparative characteristics of UAVs Aksungur and (Anka):
        Carrying capacity - 750 kg (200 kg)
        Flight time - 50 hours (24 hours)
Operating altitude - 6100-7600 meters, in the long term up to 12 meters (200 meters).
At the beginning of the month, Havelsan unveiled the BAHA UAV, which is capable of combining with other drones into one swarm system.
"Their example to others is science."

Mid-altitude means that it is visible from a distance by radars.
So only against an enemy that does not have air defense systems at least 50 years ago.
And against the Kurdish detachments, yes, it is effective. The view from the height is good.

Something, there was a very "serious" car, that this one commands respect, for its characteristics

And surprisingly different. That those cars from the 30s showed exactly the same parameters. Where are 90 years of development of materials, motors, computer aerodynamics? Where are all those nano-sticks?
Here is Moskalev's airplane. CAM-5. Plywood With a weak M-11 of 100 horses. In 20 hours I flew without landing from Moscow to Novosibirsk with an average speed of 200 km. A record that lasted 10 years. But they were preparing a team of girls to fly to Vladik. Climbed 8 km, carried 6 passengers. It had a classic wing with slats, hovering ailerons and flaps. Clean, no braces.
And compare with the same "Bayraktar" with a 100 strong engine. Everything is one to one, even worse. Where is the progress?

A good UAV and reconnaissance conducts and itself can attack and direct missiles from other carriers with laser guidance to any target, both at sea and on the shore.

    We would be like that.

This UAV is more of a scout. You can hang on it a full-fledged radar, electronic warfare and RTR systems, launch drones, etc.
Of course, he also has shock capabilities, but it is expensive to use it for this, this plane is not cheap.
Armament options for the American counterpart.

It is also a carrier of twelve MAM-T air bombs, with a range of 30 + km.

And who prevents Russia from reaching an agreement with Israel or Turkey and then stamping it at home and, moreover, cramming its stuff into certain things.

What's the point? Its finishes testing and enters the production stage. And while you test this one, while the technology is transferred, it will become obsolete ...

DYK, so this one has already passed the test and is already in service in the Navy. And so the owner is the master, as you see fit.

When buying, he will still have to pass local tests to confirm his stated data .... No one will buy a "pig in a poke" now

Who will sell you advanced technologies ?! In addition, Turkey itself assembles its UAVs from units around the world.

For us, buying weapons from the Turks is, firstly, shameful, and secondly, Western partners will immediately impose export bans.

We can only sell old stuff.

İLK # AKSUNGUR'U TESLİM ETTİK! @TUSAS_TR tarafından üretilen yerli ve milli AKSUNGUR SİHA testleri başarı ile tamamlayarak DzKK'ya teslim edildi. ✈
I got to the Turkish site by mistake.
The Turks are left with the same advertising campaign as for "Bayraktar" and a new source of income in their pockets. But you just need to decide where to start the war and who to provoke it?

Things are already getting better with the Armenians, and Iran has banned its trucks from going to Karabakh and withdrawn its troops from the border. So there is no war planned in these parts. Africa remains.

It looks like a copy of the Israeli Eitan (Heron TR). Only two engines in front instead of one pusher. It is not a fact that it is a more economical solution, so 50 hours is doubtful with a more or less serious load. Well, Heron has been combat-ready and flying for 20 years already.

By the way, literally three days ago, Ozdemir Bayraktar, a developer of combat drones and founder of the Baykar Makina company, died.
