The Latvian Defense Ministry warned drivers about the inadmissibility of obstructing the movement of military convoys
The regular NATO military exercises are being held at the Latvian military training ground Adazi from 21 to 23 October. This time, during the exercise, the use of artillery and armored vehicles is being worked out. This is the Iron Spear 2021 military exercise.
The military personnel of the motorized rifle brigade of the Latvian ground forces and NATO combat groups from the foreign military contingent stationed in the Baltic States were involved in the maneuvers at the Adazi training ground.
The Latvian military command reports that the main purpose of the maneuvers is “to improve the interaction and compatibility of the Latvian and allied armed forces, as well as to perform joint combat missions related to the use of armored vehicles, including Tanks and BMP ".
Military personnel from a number of NATO countries participate in maneuvers on the territory of Latvia: Poland, USA, Canada, Britain, Czech Republic, Italy, Slovakia, Slovenia, Albania, Spain, etc.
It is reported that maneuvers during the exercise are carried out both during the day and at night. In addition to ground vehicles, planes and helicopters are involved.
The Latvian command, in connection with the live-fire exercises, asked for an apology about the inhabitants of the surrounding territories "due to the increased noise level."

Also, residents of nearby settlements were warned about the inadmissibility of interfering with military exercises.
