From Galan Revolver to G11 Assault Rifle: Unusual Small Arms

14

When talking about an unusual rifle weapons, then the fantasies of the authors of Hollywood action films are often presented - such samples of weapons "from the future", alien "trunks" in the version of what was shown in various series of "Men in Black". However, not only Hollywood dreamers succeeded in this case. Over the years, various versions of small arms were created, many of which deserve special attention.

Among these options is the German G11 rifle chambered for a caseless cartridge of 4,7 mm caliber. The actual development of this type of weapon in Germany started in the late 1960s. It was aimed at mastering the production of new ammunition for those times. As a result, enormous funds were spent, but the G11 never went into production. The project was closed precisely for the reason that it "ate" a lot of money. However, the image of this assault rifle is still impressive. Today, the G11 in appearance is more like not a small-arms assault weapon, but another version of the "lander". drones».

A rather unusual version of the weapon of the second half of the 19th century is the Galan revolver. This is a French development, which in our country at one time was called the "4,5-line Galyan revolver". Such a weapon had a caliber of 12 mm, had an ammunition load of six rounds.

About these other variants of small arms of different years - in the plot of the Great Show. It should be noted right away that the author of the video (at least - the author of the voice acting) sins with certain "blots" in the stories about the characteristics of the weapon.

You can relate to Shpakovsky in different ways, in my opinion he writes very well, although sometimes he has a manifestation of "star fever", and he categorically cannot admit that he is wrong.
As for the "resort trip", at least there was something new for the readers.
And in this publication there are continuous repetitions of what has already been chewed many times.

Linnik also wrote about how he went to the Kuril Islands. But you do not judge him. Double standarts?

What words are lofty about "double standards", but in fact Linnik posted a photo report from the show of the local military. And what did Shpakovsky put up, huh?
Yes, God bless him, Vyacheslav, why the hell did the administration put this out?

If you do not agree with the editorial policy, you can write directly to Volodin or Smirnov.
What is the point of switching to personalities and remembering an author who has nothing to do with this publication? Let us then list by name those who regularly admit inaccuracies in their articles, or write outright nonsense.
For example, I can recall one unscientific science fiction writer whose articles for some reason are regularly published under the heading "analytics". wassat

If you disagree with what and how the author wrote, then you can leave a comment on his article. Which is what I actually did. What prevented you from writing a critical commentary on Shpakovsky's article, and why do you remember him now? There are enough ambiguous authors on the site, what exactly did Shpakovsky annoy you with?

Is it not clear? A specific, completely empty article. For me, it has become the standard of an empty article. That is to say, a unit.

The project was closed for the reason that "the stone flower still did not come out." The system turned out to have serious reliability problems due to the overcomplicated design ("cuckoo clock"), but most importantly, despite all the tricks, the issue of spontaneous ignition of gunpowder of caseless cartridges in the chamber, red-hot from firing, was not resolved.
