Option from Brussels: "The Arctic is ours"
The European Union has recently presented a document in which it defines its attitude to the Arctic. Judging by the document, this attitude is "direct" - in the opinion, again, of the European Union itself. The main message is that the European Union is all so environmentally friendly and "green", and therefore it is not going to exploit the Arctic subsoil and acquire the minerals that are obtained from such subsoil.
The position is undoubtedly interesting. First, the "collective" Brussels, which has nothing to do with the Arctic region, is actually claiming its rights to the Arctic. Option from the European Union (Brussels): "The Arctic is ours."
Secondly, the European adherents of "green energy" indirectly show "cookies" to Russia, declaring that their (our) gas, produced mainly "in the north", will not be bought by them, the Europeans. And they themselves will not extract anything "in their Arctic" either.
This is doubly amazing. After all, the same Europeans just a few days ago announced that it was allegedly Russia that was behind the sharp rise in gas prices and that it was Russia that was holding back the required volumes of gas supplies to Europe.
So you would have already decided, gentlemen Europeans. If you are not interested in Russian gas at all, why are these statements about "gas intrigues" of Russia? Go to your alternative sources, as Greta Thunberg calls on, and you will have great "green" happiness. But why the Europeans don't cross. Apparently, there are big problems with "green" sources, and therefore attacks against Russia will continue against the background of statements that "we do not need gas from Russia." Infected with the alternative logic from Ukraine?
