How much does it cost to rent a Russian soldier?
This strange event most likely would not have attracted attention, if not for one single moment that changed everything significantly. And I immediately wanted to start asking questions to the department of General of the Army and Defense Minister Shoigu in the style of “What's going on, comrades? Why a mess? "
However, let's go in order.
Many media outlets have already covered the strange action that took place in St. Petersburg, in St. Isaac's Cathedral. There was married to a certain Georgy Mikhailovich Romanov, whom some are a little ignorant of stories people call the "Grand Duke" of civil Italy Rebecca Betarini.
It is difficult to say to whom and why this show was needed. There are not very many people interested in monarchist comedy, I would say that the main ones are Georgy Romanov himself and his famous mother Maria Vladimirovna. Which, by the way, are not particularly recognized by other descendants of the Romanov dynasty, and they, the descendants, have reasons for this.
Before expanding the main question, I will allow myself to take a little time and talk about these Romanovs. Our supporters of the monarchy from among the commentators, perhaps they will correct me in something, but I am a little familiar with the history of the Romanov dynasty and treat some of its representatives with great respect. For example, to Alexander Nikolaevich and Alexander Alexandrovich. There have been very significant persons in Russian history, to say nothing.
Today, many media outlets in connection with this event recall the grotesque film "Crown of the Russian Empire" and the candidates for the throne there. Do you remember there were two "Grand Dukes" - challengers? Played frankly comedic and very funny looking?

Georgy Mikhailovich has about as many rights as these characters, because if you can call Georgy Romanov "Grand Duke" - then only this way, in quotes, and nothing else.
George Romanov has no right to be called the title of the Grand Duke. In accordance with the clauses of such an interesting document (by the way, written by the Romanovs for themselves) as the "Institution of the Imperial Family", dated 1886 and approved by Emperor Alexander III Romanov. On the Internet, if anyone is interested.
So, in accordance with this document, the title of the Grand Duke, Grand Duchess and Imperial Highnesses belongs to the sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, and in the male generation and to all the grandchildren of the emperor.
Let me emphasize: THE EMPEROR. And - along the male line.
But in the male line, Georgy Romanov has no direct relationship to the Romanovs. He is more akin to German princes than to Russian tsars.
However, it is worth starting a conversation about the origin of the newly-minted "Grand Duke" from his female line. The mother of the "Grand Duke" Maria Vladimirovna Romanova has no rights to the Russian throne. Moreover, according to the rules of the Romanov dynasty, she does not even have the right to be called a princess of imperial blood. Maria Vladimirovna is a descendant of a completely illegal morganatic marriage of the truly Grand Duke Cyril with Victoria, Duchess of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha.
Emperor Nicholas II himself did not allow this marriage to be concluded, because there were a lot of circumstances that did not allow everything to be arranged legally in the eyes of other monarchs. The Internet is again full of information on this topic, but the main one - Cyril and Victoria were cousins.
In general, everything was difficult for the Romanovs in terms of incest.
Nicholas II deprived Cyril and his wife, as well as all their descendants, of all the rights of representatives of the Russian imperial family. Including the right to the throne. And he did not allow Kirill to return to Russia after his marriage in Britain.
After some time, Nicholas forgave Cyril and returned to him and Victoria the titles of "princes of the imperial blood."
Kirill Vladimirovich is a person who spent his life in a very peculiar way, but we are only interested in the fact that in 1924, while in Paris, Kirill Vladimirovich himself declared himself emperor in exile.
By the end of the life of Vladimir Kirillovich, there were no more representatives of the Russian Imperial House in the male line who were not in unequal, dynastic marriages. Children from such marriages, according to the Basic Laws of the Russian Empire and the Institution of the Imperial Family, are not members of the Russian Imperial House - grand dukes and even princes of imperial blood.
Maria Vladimirovna is the granddaughter of Kirill Vladimirovich. With a stretch, "princess of the imperial blood" and certainly does not have any rights to the throne.
Her son, Georgy Romanov, is a relative of Nikolai II Romanov. But his origin is still from the cousin of the last Russian emperor. Just a cousin. His father is Franz Wilhelm of Prussia, the great-grandson of Kaiser Wilhelm II of Germany.
So, according to the "Establishment", George Romanov can in no way be called the title of the Grand Duke. Maximum - "prince of the imperial blood."
So from the point of view of dynastic law, our heroes are simply noblemen Romanovs. Yes, the descendants of the last emperor, but ... Deprived of the rights to the throne, titles and everything else.
And then, what does this have to do with the members of the monarchist family, who have long had nothing to do with Russia in terms of government? We almost have a republic, and I don't really want to change anything.
And here is the first surprise. As in our media everything sounded: "Grand Duke", "Heir to the throne", in general - who is louder and more flowery.
But most of all, the event itself is outraged, more precisely, some moments.
The first is another joke in terms of medical safety.
One and a half thousand people, not on the street - where are the masks? You can't go to a store without a mask today, but here is a mass event. So what? Again, someone can, and someone - if you please, boy, put on a muzzle?
Thank God that then they will go to spread the infection in such circles of "high society", where ordinary citizens do not move. I really count on it.
But that’s not the main thing. The main question is: what kind of event was it?
In general, the relative impostor-Romanov gets married in St. Isaac's Cathedral with a foreign citizen - and for some reason this is given the status of a state event?
How is it?
Naturally, the reason for my discontent was the presence at the ceremony of soldiers of the Guard of Honor company of the Western Military District. The photo clearly shows that this is the personnel from there.
We go to the website of the Ministry of Defense and read there:
«The battalion of the guard of honor of the regiment participates in all major events held by the leadership of the state in our country and abroad. Such as meeting and seeing off the heads of foreign state, government and military delegations during their official visits to Russia, laying wreaths at the Eternal Flame of the memorial complex "Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at the Kremlin Wall" and many others. With the participation of the battalion's servicemen, military parades are also held in Moscow and other cities.
The honor guard can be assigned:
- for meeting and seeing off the President of the Russian Federation, representatives of foreign states during ceremonial events of national importance and during inspections (checks) of troops;
- when laying wreaths (garlands, baskets of flowers, flowers) at the opening of state monuments;
- to the State Flag of the Russian Federation, the Battle Banner (Naval Flag), brought to the ceremonial meetings;
- upon the burial of persons specified in Article 381 of this Charter. "
Do you see weddings here? Weddings? And I don’t see.
And this is where questions begin to the command of the Western Military District and the Ministry of Defense.
What was that?
No, it is clear that you cannot just “borrow” soldiers from the Guard of Honor company. But if you really want to, then you can, as practice shows, right? For money, thanks to connections, thanks to the consent of government officials.
We are unlikely to find out who called whom and what the PKK guys cost at the meeting of the married gentlemen. But the fact that the very fact has come true is a shame for the Russian army.
The presence of servicemen from the Guard of Honor company at such a dubious event as the wedding of "Prince" Romanov (whom the Romanovs themselves do not recognize as their own) and Italian Rebecca Bettarini is completely unforgivable for the Ministry of Defense.
I believe that it is the representatives of the ministry who are obliged to inquire with all the severity from the command of the Western Military District, which handed over the PKK ZVO fighters for use. Otherwise, soon on the Internet it will be possible to stumble upon the price list with the price list of the services of the Guard of Honor.
And what? For weddings, for weddings, to see off the last journey of someone who can pour money ... Or negotiate with the right people at a discount.
Even writing is disgusting. This was not the case in the nineties. But in the twenties they sailed in full.
And it would be okay for us to have a monarchy. And the "heir" was real, not in quotation marks. Otherwise ... The pretender is combined in a morganatic marriage with a foreign woman. And the PKK does it hello to him. How lovely…
It is clear that recently the topic of the separation of the "noble" from the slaves (not to say worse) is very, very relevant. But it is more than obscene to be drawn into the puffing of cheeks and the army.
The place of the soldier of the Guard of Honor company is at the Eternal Flame, in the Guard of Honor itself, and anywhere, as determined by the status of the unit. But not at a wedding or wedding. All the more so - with such more than dubious personalities.
The decline in the authority of the army begins precisely with such pornography. And the Ministry of Defense should think about this seriously right now.
