Ukrainian Foreign Minister: Our country is able in the future to take the place in the energy sector of Germany, which is occupied by Russia
The Ukrainian authorities are trying to bring their relations with Europe to a completely new level. This requires, according to the Foreign Ministry of this country, energy diversification.
The other day, the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said that Ukraine "is capable in the future of taking the place in the energy sector of Germany, which is occupied by Russia." What is needed for this?
It turns out that for this "just" you need to reorient yourself to a supplier of "environmentally friendly" fuel - hydrogen. According to Dmitry Kuleba, this can and should be done in the near future, and then a real energy revolution will take place on the European market. Russian gas, allegedly the same Germany, will no longer be needed. And only Ukrainian "green" hydrogen will be needed.
It is very bad when the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine talks about energy. Indeed, from his statements alone, it is clear that he does not understand anything in energy.
Where will Ukraine get green hydrogen from? This requires considerable water supplies. And fresh. Will they use the waters of the Dnieper to be left without water themselves? Or will they desalinate the Black Sea water? But then it is necessary to build desalination stations, which themselves consume a lot of energy, and it still needs to be produced from some raw material.
Mikhail Leontyev discusses Kuleba's statements and energy prospects “to replace Russia for Germany” in the program “However”.
