A project 20380 corvette for the Pacific Fleet was laid down at the Amur shipyard
In Komsomolsk-on-Amur, a project 20380 corvette was laid for the Pacific fleet... The ceremony took place at the Amur Shipyard (ASZ).
The laying of the new ship took place in one of the slipways of the Amur Shipyard. By order of the Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy, the new corvette of Project 20380 was named "Bravy". This is the sixth and final ship of this project, which will be built at the NEA, then the corvettes of the project 20385 will be built.
Currently, the Pacific Fleet includes three Project 20380 corvettes - "Perfect", "Gromkiy" and "Aldar Tsydenzhapov". The fourth corvette "Sharp" is being prepared for testing. The fifth corvette "Grozny" was laid down on August 23, 2021, the sixth "Bravy" - today, September 29.
In December last year, the Amur Shipyard received a contract for the construction of a series of project 20380 and 20385 corvettes. According to the agreement, the Pacific Fleet will receive two project 2024 corvettes and four project 2028 corvettes from 20380 to 20385.
Corvettes of project 20380 are classified as multipurpose surface combat ships of the 2nd rank of the near sea zone. Features of the ships of this project are compactness, stealth, high percentage of systems automation. Designed for the search and destruction of submarines, surface ships and enemy ships, the defense of naval bases.
