Polish MEP asks who Poland is going to "intimidate" with Abrams tanks
None of Poland's neighbors dispute its borders. Based on this, the Polish MEP, representing the Civic Platform party, on his Twitter page asks who Poland is going to "intimidate" tanks Abrams, which the Department of Defense intends to acquire from the United States.
The politician Janina Ohojska believes that at the present time it would be more relevant to direct funds to provide medical workers with decent wages. Such was her reaction to the statement by Polish Defense Minister Mariusz Blaszczak about a contract for the purchase of Abrams tanks in the United States for the Polish Army.
For expressing such an opinion, the Polish MEP was subjected to a flurry of criticism both from officials and from ordinary Poles. The head of the "Redoubt of a Good Name" analytical center, Maciej Svirsky, even suggested that the questions asked by the representative of the opposition were prompted to her in Russia.
But among the Polish citizens there are many sane people who supported Janina Ochoyska in her questions to the Ministry of Defense.

Another comment:
However, American tanks can play a positive role even for Polish health workers, paradoxically. For example, the presence of "Abrams" in Warsaw, according to some Polish experts, can become an additional argument for Brussels officials to allocate funds for the salaries of medical personnel in Poland. The alleged reason is that Brussels will see that Poland is a reliable partner of the United States, and therefore will go to allocate additional funds to Warsaw. The logic is very strange.
