Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine: Ukraine is ready to join NATO
Ukraine is ready to join NATO. All that is needed is a political solution for this to happen.
This statement was made by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) Valery Zaluzhny in an interview with Radio Liberty (entered by the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation into the register of foreign media - foreign agents).
- said the commander in chief.
Zaluzhny claims that the Armed Forces have done everything possible to meet all the standards of the North Atlantic Alliance. The Ukrainian army, he said, has already implemented the necessary norms in matters of management, planning, training and application.
And now everything depends only on a political decision, that is, the next step, Zaluzhny believes, should be taken by Western politicians.
Not long before that, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy also spoke with reporters on this topic. According to him, during his trip to this country in the United States, he did not receive the slightest guarantees that Ukraine would be admitted to NATO. And at the forum "Yalta European Strategy" (YES) in Kiev, he said at all that without Ukraine the alliance would lose a lot, and the European Union would weaken. And if she is not accepted into these structures, this will greatly strengthen Russia.
In Ukraine, they do not stop talking about the imminent entry into the North Atlantic Alliance, despite numerous hints from the West that they are not going to accept it in the coming years.
