The Russian military has worked out the tactics of using electronic warfare systems against high-precision weapons

Russian electronic warfare systems are capable not only of jamming communications, but also of combating high-precision weapons, depriving the enemy of the possibility of using "smart" ammunition. The fight against aircraft gunners' equipment, as well as other guidance means, was worked out in the Zapad-2021 exercises.

During the Zapad-2021 strategic joint exercises, the Russian military have worked out new tactics for using electronic warfare systems, which make it possible to successfully combat the most modern strike systems. As they write "News" with reference to the Russian Ministry of Defense, for the first time Russian complexes suppressed the communication channels allowing to control and target "smart" ammunition. That is, the communication channels of aircraft controllers, satellite communications, channels for receiving information from navigation GPS satellites, etc. were jammed.

The military emphasize that electronic warfare systems do not allow the enemy to use high-precision weapons, since they completely exclude the exchange of information in the areas where they were used.

During the exercise, electronic warfare units from the Western Military District and the Baltic fleet They covered field headquarters, communication points and launching positions of missiles of the Russian and Belarusian groups from attacks, as well as important industrial facilities and in practice showed the correctness of the chosen tactics, the Ministry of Defense emphasized.

To disrupt the strikes of high-precision weapons, it is necessary to drown out satellite navigation and combat control channels for it, as well as to deprive target designation from field aircraft controllers (...) Modern Russian electronic warfare is capable of creating entire territories inaccessible to high-precision weapons

- said the military expert Alexei Leonkov.

It is clear that the opposition, as well as the impact, must be complex !!! By any available means and methods.
Keep it up, what else can you add. Yes, we must remember that the enemy is no less sophisticated, experienced and armed no worse.

      Exactly.
But I am more interested in something else, how you can promise to fight the enemy's means without having samples of these means and not knowing their methods of protection against electronic warfare.
At one time, the West was ahead of the USSR in electronic warfare systems precisely due to access to captured and / or stolen Soviet equipment. What the USSR, in turn, could not boast of.
In the past, there have already been incidents when it turned out that the Soviet systems were effective only against the Soviet systems, and against the Western ones turned out to be ineffective. For example, the insufficiency of Soviet BOPSs (in service with Iraq), manifested during the "Desert Storm", which were effectively tested against the T-72 armor, and were useless against the cheekbones of the M1A2 turret. Or the defeat of the Syrian air defense group in 1982, when the jamming immunity of the air defense systems' radars did not help in any way from the electronic warfare systems.
And I don't think the situation has changed much today. Where can the Russian Federation today get Western military technology, at least the same NATO targeting means, which are not outdated by 30 years?
And this raises unpleasant, but legitimate questions.

The question is certainly interesting ... there are more than one answer. Something fundamentally new, not known before the village, is a problem ... and everything that is built on well-known principles, methods, technical solutions is a TASK that can be solved.
Not immediately, not cheap, in stages ...

It's good if our electronic warfare system really works so effectively.

The system should work at any moment of time, and not only in the mode "the day after tomorrow at 5:00 they will suddenly announce the alarm".

The system must work at any time,

Well, they cannot work all the time, otherwise you will not be able to call anywhere and get there. And they are on duty. Three electronic warfare systems Murmansk are permanently deployed in Crimea. They work in three "friendly" directions.

Works very efficiently. Rocket attack on Syria from 105 rockets 23 rockets flew to the targets. At this time, the electronic warfare of the Black Sea Fleet was working there.

About five years ago, there was information that ours learned to distort the digital map of the attacked object, this was when we smacked Yars from Kapustin Yar to Sary - shagan. The partners had a noise! good

It was much earlier, five years ago they were making noise because of something else))) Striking Syria with Axes is an example for you)))

Oh my God! But what about now the saints "Bayraktars", "Spikes" and other elusive miracle workers? Is it possible to be so unlimited? They are very expensive! What do you order their owners to do?
This is a blow to the groin on the bells of the most powerful army - the defender of Europe. Only you understand Donbass and Crimea are going to win back from the Akhressor, and here on you, bummer! They told the Sumerians in 2014-2020, to defeat the "Mordor", build the "Death Star", and instead they spread a trident of watermelons and bacon every year.

        "Spikes"

They have IR + optical guidance, can be guided by fiber-optic cable or run in the "fire and forget" mode with auto-lock on the target.
All of the above does not require radar or radio exchange, and therefore is immune to electronic warfare.

        elusive miracles

They can be autonomous and have no communication channels.

The first comment on the thread is very correct:
it must be remembered that the enemy is no less sophisticated, experienced and armed in no way worse

Underestimating your opponent is the first step to defeat.

It would be nice, of course, to cover most of the Russian Federation like that.
But this is of course unrealistic request

Well, that from Red Square in two steps you can get to Sheremetyevo, according to GPS - it's no longer a secret

Bullshit many residents of the Moscow region should know the place where the signal of VHF radio stations, cellular communications disappears at the same time, and geo-positioning begins to give an error of several kilometers. That is, analog and digital communications and the GPS signal are choking, and this is exactly what is described in the article. By the way, glonass continues to work. laughing This is about selectivity.

Is this miracle system selective? In "territories inaccessible to high-precision weapons", where "the communication channels of aircraft controllers, satellite communications, channels for obtaining information from navigation GPS satellites, etc." We ourselves, somehow, besides the magic combination of red and white flags, can we manage at least something?

Why"first". It is not at all clear. And whose communication channels were jammed? If this is an exercise. Theirs then! So they are already known! Try to jam the communication channel, for example, with the Global Hawk. If you could, they would have planted a couple that fly around Crimea and Krasnodar. Blah-blah-blah all this from our Jura-patriots and a journalist to boot.

Sometimes this "news" from the MO surprises me. How, for example, is it possible to drown out NATO's "channels for receiving information from navigation GPS-satellites" at the Mulino training ground, or is "Krasukha" jamming the cell phones of residents of nearby villages? Did you jam the air controllers? So the amers no longer have them. Last century. Could the satellite communications be jammed only by their own, or did they try to jam someone's phone with Iridium? I do not see EW targets in the Zapad-2021 exercises.

I may be wrong, but if the "bonba" guidance system is sewn
vector route (turn 30 degrees and fly 5 kilometers,
turn left by 10 degrees and fly 2 km and so on),
this wunderwaffen will fly according to the instructions,
no matter what it is irradiated with.
I could be wrong. Maybe someone who is knowledgeable will add to the mind?
I must say right away that I have a peaceful profession,
    first technical education.
