Polish press: Defense Minister Blaszczak relies on the "Polish Army" and American tanks
Poland is more and more at odds with the European Union, but is not going to leave it yet. According to the country's government, Warsaw can independently solve its problems, including protecting its borders. This is reported by Polskie Radio.
The Polish government is increasingly criticizing EU policy, claiming that European laws are aimed at depriving the country of its sovereignty. The last straw was the decision of the European Court of Justice to close the Polish mine and power plant in the city of Turov. According to Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, the court exceeded its authority by forcing Poland to buy electricity, not produce it.
Although Warsaw is opposed to the EU's interference in the country's sovereign affairs, it is not going to leave the European Union, despite the rumors that a polexit will be held. At the same time, Poland refuses to remain a supplier of cheap labor.
The prime minister is echoed by Polish Defense Minister Mariusz Blaszczak, who said that the Polish army independently strengthens its eastern borders, without the intervention of the European Union, concentrating units and military equipment on the likely direction of the strike from Russia. In addition, Poland is helping the Baltic states to fend off hybrid attacks.
According to him, Poland "should not harbor illusions", no one, including NATO, will defend Polish territory, except for the "Polish Army". Thus, he stressed, Warsaw, of course, should not forget about NATO, but it is necessary to rely only on the Polish army and the American Tankspurchased in the United States and located at the eastern borders.
