London "advanced" in the "Skripal case": a third was added to Petrov and Boshirov
British police have named another Russian suspect in the Skripal case. Now a third has been added to Petrov and Boshirov.
It is reported by one of the British TV channels.
As the third person involved in this mysterious case, a certain citizen of the Russian Federation Denis Sergeev was named by UK law enforcement officers. Thus, London, as they say on British TV, has moved one step further in the Skripals case. Sergeev has already been charged and put on the wanted list.
Why this person has appeared only now, the British media have not yet reported.
As a reminder, a strange incident took place in November 2018. In the poisoning of ex-GRU officer Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia with a Novichok-class substance, which is considered a chemical weapons, British authorities blamed the Russian intelligence services without proof. The case went to the international level and became the reason for the imposition of sanctions against Russia by a number of Western countries.
Two Russian citizens were accused of poisoning - R. Boshirov and A. Petrov, whom the British called agents of the GRU. And although the evidence base in this case is very weak, the list of suspects is expanding.
In this case, the questions arise already from the British themselves. From readers' comments in the British press:
In addition, the West remembered the case of another Russian ex-intelligence officer who lived in Great Britain. Former FSB officer Alexander Litvinenko died in 2006 from poisoning with a radioactive substance - polonium-210. At least the British intelligence services have announced the polonium.
Now the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) has found the Russian authorities guilty of his death. According to the court's decision, Moscow is obliged to pay 100 thousand euros to his widow, as well as to pay off legal costs in the amount of 22 euros.
