Ukraine intends to open a training center for Turkish UAV operators

Turkey may build on the territory of Ukraine a center for training specialists in the operation of drums drones, Kyiv is already conducting relevant negotiations, according to the Ukrainian edition of Defense Express.

According to the newspaper, Ukraine intends to persuade Turkey to build a training and technical center for training operators of Bayraktar TB2 attack drones. The territory for the future center is already ready in Vasilkov in the Kiev region. As the chairman of the subcommittee on defense industry and technical modernization of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Igor Kopytin said, the first round of negotiations has already passed.

In the meantime, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are sending their servicemen to study in Turkey. There, in the training center, 75 people will master the specialties "external UAV pilot", UAV technician-mechanic "and" UAV avionic technician. ”How long the training will last is not reported.

Earlier, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine announced plans to purchase four more Bayraktar TB2 systems, six drones each, i.e. 24 units to already purchased 12. Delivery of new drones should take place in 2021-2022. Apparently under the new drones and training is underway.

For our part, we note that it is unprofitable for Turkey to open a training center on the territory of Ukraine, unless Kiev intends to buy hundreds of Turkish drones. Then the costs will pay off quickly. In the meantime, it is profitable for Ankara to accept Ukrainian "students" on its territory, since Kiev has to pay for education.

to open a training center for Turkish UAV operators on its territory

I would not be surprised if they still offer to open a Turkish military base at home, of course, not for free .. They have a straight rut, they take loans to the right and to the left .. They feel that the end is coming soon.

And what's the point of that base? Syria has shown that drones are not so terrible in the presence of more or less suitable air defense.

Over the past day, due to the use of the entire spectrum of Syrian air defense, Turkish unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) have somewhat reduced activity in the skies over the Greater Idlib region (Idlib and Hama provinces, parts of Aleppo and Latakia provinces). Nevertheless, on the eve of March 4, government forces managed to shoot down two more enemy strike drones, reports the Military Observer portal.

The second Turkish-made Bayraktar TB2 drone was shot down in the dark and became the 10th drone of the Turkish Armed Forces, destroyed over the past three days in the north-west of the Arab Republic.

At least twice in the last 2 hours, the Syrian air defense system used the Buk-M200 anti-aircraft missile system (SAM). Information was also received about the use of the S-16 air defense system by the Syrian army against the Turkish F-200 fighter. Like a few days ago, the Turkish pilot was able to move the combat vehicle away from the S-XNUMX missile.

In total, during the Turkish operation in Idlib, at least six Anka-S drones and seven Bayraktar TB2 were destroyed. Of the thirteen destroyed UAV strike 10, Turkey lost over the past three days, which indicates a sharply increased effectiveness of the Syrian air defense (of course, not without the participation of Russian experts and anti-aircraft systems). In general, it can be stated that Turkey did not succeed in gaining even conditional dominance in the air, and this is a key moment of the entire Turkish operation.

Syrian MC claims that Syria’s air defense owes its success to its Buk-M2E anti-aircraft missile systems. With these air defense systems, during the acute phase of the Idlib conflict, 25 missile launches were carried out, while 20 Turkish unmanned aerial vehicles were hit. Three missiles fired did not hit the targets, two more self-destructed. More than half of the downed drones fell in an area controlled by militants.

Meanwhile, the Turkish military claims to have lost 12 drones. A civil servant of this country, whose name is not called, told Bloomberg that in Idlib, Ankara first used a new tactic, called the “swarm of drones”. In Syria, the Turkish army uses Bayraktar TB2 tactical drones and TAI Anka multipurpose unmanned aerial vehicles. Earlier, Turkish resources have repeatedly published videos from drones about the destruction of a particular military equipment. Several videos had signs of editing, including a video with gluing fragments about the attack on the Shell Shell.

Others are setting up centers to train specialists to destroy those drones ... a two-edged process.

Come on. There is nowhere to spend a penny, let them spend on what is known. The tactics of counteraction have already been worked out (for a long time). The Armenians simply did not follow any methods of counteraction, so they went nuts, and advertising lifted these drones to the skies. In Libya, for example, they no longer represent anything.

Well, if they use drones from concrete lanes, then they will quickly receive a full jo ... @ (excuse me). While in Kandahar, I myself observed an excellent asphalt runway, specially rebuilt for a UAV, you take off - the plane does not move. And then, incidents are found for UAVs. Once they thrashed for 40 minutes on a "preliminary" because of the UAV, which broke the landing gear on landing.

Well, sho, sho Turkish, their sheds, not enough ?! Mykola, I suppose, they'll give you the Thousand Falcon to steer! I'm telling you exactly!
So prepare your dowry - give the girl for a drone, it's not for a combine operator!
