A version of the ranking of the armies of the countries of the world is being discussed on the network. It was presented some time ago by specialists of the analytical center GFP (Global Firepower). The authors of the study say that they studied the power and combat effectiveness of the armies of the world according to fifty different criteria. At the same time, armies of 2021 states of the world entered the global ranking by mid-140.
The top three in the rating looked like this: the US Army, the Russian Armed Forces, and the People's Liberation Army of China. The coefficient of the American army in the rating is 0,0718 (ideally 0). Russia has 0,0791.
It is noteworthy that, as Western analysts write, the research then clearly did not take into account the trends associated, among other things, with the state of affairs in Afghanistan. It is likely that in this case, it would come to revise the items "Military planning" and "Conducting special operations", which are also studied when compiling the rating. Obvious problems arose with the planning of the operation to withdraw US troops from Afghan territory. At the same time, the American army had to practically surrender all its positions to the militants. At the same time, the militants received huge reserves of American weapons.
In the five strongest armies in the world, the armies of India and Japan were named. At the same time, the Japanese army, according to the compilers of the rating, is more powerful than, for example, the armies of France and Great Britain, which have a nuclear arsenal. This fact is criticized by experts from the International Institute for Security Analysis, who believe that the real power of the Japanese self-defense forces is clearly exaggerated.
The Turkish army was put on the 11th line, believing that the Brazilian army is two positions higher in terms of its power.
The Iranian army is considered by the compilers of the rating list to be more powerful than the German army. And the most powerful army from the countries of the post-Soviet space (not counting Russia) is considered by the authors of the rating to be the Ukrainian armed forces. They were placed in the middle of the third decade - between the armies of Vietnam and Thailand. The army of the Republic of Belarus is considered worthy of only the 50th place - at the level of the armies of Chile and Uzbekistan. The Azerbaijani troops were "assigned" the number of points, which puts them only on the 63rd position.
Following them is the Syrian army, which literally daily participates in hostilities with the use of various weapons.
Particular attention is drawn to the Afghan army, which was placed in 75th place. This is taking into account the fact that the Afghan army as such does not actually exist at the moment after its total defeat by the militants of the Taliban terrorist group (banned in the Russian Federation).
Experts note that if the power of the Afghan army really corresponded to the indicated place, then most of the soldiers and officers today would continue to fight in their positions and would not surrender the city as if it were a “game on paper”:
This analysis once again proves its complete inconsistency. There is no longer any Afghan army. But she was put in the middle of the ranking of the armies of the world. Then questions about other positions - how much they correspond to objective reality.
