Conflicting Afghan reports: from "Masud's pledges to make peace with the Taliban" to statements about the loss of Khinjan by militants

Conflicting information comes from Afghanistan. Some time ago, one of the leaders of the Taliban terrorist group (banned in the Russian Federation) Khalil Haqqani said that Ahmad Massoud “promised to make peace” with the Taliban *. Reports indicate that the Taliban will now take full control of the Pandesher Valley without any fighting. Recall that Panjshir is the last large territory in Afghanistan that is not under the control of the Taliban.

The announcement comes amid reports that the Taliban are preparing an offensive on Salang, which is currently controlled by the Afghan military, which is commanded by Massoud Jr.

Meanwhile, the information resource Panjshir Times reports that the "Panjshir army" (now that is how Afghan formations under the command of Ahmad Masud are often called in Afghanistan) is ready for further resistance.

Haqqani's statement is called "disinformation" in order to "sow distrust in the Afghans, who have not resigned themselves to the seizure of power in the country by the Taliban." It is added that just a few hours ago the Taliban lost the Khinjan region - north-west of Kabul.

All these statements are in many ways reminiscent of the manifestation of the information war. At the same time, the important question is: are the Western countries ready to support the representatives of the Afghan army in Panjshir, as they ask? At the moment, the military personnel of NATO countries continue to control the Kabul airport, where over the past few days there has been an evacuation, which in the United States itself is described by reporters as chaotic and ill-considered.

Haqqani's speech about the alleged agreement between Massoud and the Taliban:

Panjshir gorge them? That is unlikely. Rather wishful thinking. Are they negotiating? Why not lead. While the negotiations are going on, the cannons are silent. Massoud loses little in this case, and the Taliban is not helped in any way by the delay. They won't get any stronger. They have no support "from within" in Panjshir. And there, perhaps, all the "anti-Taliban" forces are gathering. Well, Salang is a very critical place. Whoever has Salang has north.

Moreover, if the United States has a hand in this, it can easily go to negotiations with both the Taliban and Massoud and initiate the creation of an "independent state" Panjer in the north of Afghanistan, since they have rich experience in this matter.

Or so that there is somewhere to run, who needs it. Well, and for the Taliban * to make life easier in the context of legitimization. This is possible in the form of a compromise

A shed from a sea container ... you can't bring a sea container on disks. So this is a village on a road for trucks. And the Vladimirov machine gun is a serious argument during the battles in the gorge.
The rest is still rumors, gossip and stuffing "information war"

You are most likely right. Both Khumri and Bagram are with the Taliban, no one will pay "Lion" for the banquet, even if he wants to. Runs up to cold weather, as always and deflates.

According to the latest reports, the Taliban are forming a large force grouping in the Charikar area - south of Salang and in the Puli-Khumri area to the north of it.

Massoud - junior is not a lion, rather a lion cub, and maybe a cat ... The United States is logistically unable to support the "fugitive Kabulites", the locals of the "Wonderful Valley" do not really want to see them either ...
In general, the purpose of all this information war is not clear ... Get on your nerves and interfere with the planning of operations? Oh well....

If the Panjshir militia took Khinjan, then the road with the northern provinces through Salang is cut, if somehow they do not agree, the Taliban will launch an offensive from the north and south with the task of completely regaining control of the highway and completely isolating the Panjshir from the rest of Afghanistan.

What if all this is a grandiose operation to supply the Taliban (an organization still considered banned in the Russian Federation) with military equipment and weapons for subsequent hostilities in Central Asia? What if the United States deliberately staged this performance, allegedly spoiling its image, in order to achieve its more global goals of destroying statehood in the former republics of the USSR? Militant Taliban are hardly going to dig in the ground on armored Hummers, and they are not going to spray the fields with Dost from "Black Hawks" either .. They will fight .. The question "with whom?" - contains practically no intrigue .. Nearby are such delicious Uzbekistan, Tajikistan ..

Are there Pashtuns there? The Taliban are a Pashtun organization. So to speak, national liberation ...
They do not have much in the north either, with support. What kind of support will they receive in the former Soviet republics?
Taking into account the CSTO and Russian military bases? Oh well ... And more. You can't fight much with captured weapons. It ends quickly. Supply, repairs and other logistics are required.
