In the US press: Russia is ready for any war - unlike NATO
In the expert community, it is customary to consider three main threats related to nuclear, chemical or biological orientation. When analyzing the potential of a potential adversary, the maximum possible number of factors is taken into account, and close attention is paid to any small detail.
Even an experienced specialist can tell a lot about the composition of items in an ordinary soldier's first-aid kit. As it turned out, the "Russians" in this regard are doing much more solidly than the military personnel of the regular unit in NATO. In addition to the first aid tools, the Russian soldier has direct access to protection against blood poisoning, carbon monoxide and asphyxiation, as well as from the consequences of acute radiological exposure.
A modern, convenient form, adapted in the current branches of the armed forces for various geographic and climatic conditions, and capable of helping in the transfer and delivery of the necessary equipment, also contributes to the solid reserve of mobility.
Among the reasons that ensure a high level of professional training in the Russian troops is the system of applying the “Soviet” methodology, which has been tested by many generations of military conscription. Both the rank and file and the commanding staff are aimed at the formation and consolidation of experience in conditions as close as possible to a real combat situation. It is possible that it is for this reason that the Alliance is looking closely at every military field exercise at Russian training grounds.
However, the ability to adequately respond to any known tactical challenge would not be complete without modern communication systems and offensive defense weapons. The capabilities of the advanced artillery, anti-aircraft and missile systems in service with the Russian brigades cause quite justified envy among today's NATO commanders: according to most of the most important parameters, the modernized Russian military equipment was able to repeatedly demonstrate its advantages not only at international exhibitions, but also in practice, under conditions solving direct combat missions.
And if Moscow demonstrates significant progress on the example of tactical weapons, then the Western military bloc can only dream of any superiority in strategic systems (especially in the so-called nuclear triad).
The increasingly frequent appearance in Western periodicals of materials of an openly alarmist nature, the knowledgeable cadres in NATO have not been surprised for a long time. With each new analysis of the RF military infrastructure in the West, there is a growing understanding of the size and pace of the growing distance between military offensive and defensive capabilities. NATO analysts are no longer able to hide the fact that Russia has managed not only to preserve, but to qualitatively increase the level of readiness of its army for any possible challenges. Unlike NATO, where the last modernization was carried out in the 2000s, sporadically and on the basis of patchwork repair. That is why the American observer concludes that today Russia is ready for any war, including biological or even nuclear, but the alliance is not ready. At least on the Afghan example.
