On August 10, the Ministry of Defense held a Single Day for the Acceptance of Military Products. As part of this event, the results of deliveries of various products and military construction in the second quarter and first half of 2021 were summed up. Main successes
Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu summed up the general results of the work of recent months and years. He recalled that the idea of Common Acceptance Days appeared and was first implemented five years ago. Prior to that, at the end of the year there was a rush delivery of products by enterprises throughout the country, associated with some negative phenomena. Now this process has been divided into four main periods and got rid of the old problems.
The quarterly United Days allowed the industry and the army to establish the correct interaction along the supply line. Achieved synchronization that meets modern conditions. The army manages to carry out the necessary construction and training of personnel, after which the industry transfers new products to it.
It is noted that the existing restrictions due to the fight against the current pandemic did not have a serious negative impact on the production and supply processes. The rhythmic flow and acceptance of military products continues. New industrial products are delivered to parts in accordance with established plans and schedules.
Deputy Defense Minister Aleksey Krivoruchko noted in his report that in the first half of the year the State Defense Order for new models was completed by 34%. This is on schedule. Such pace of work will allow us to fulfill all plans for the current year.
During the Single Day of Acceptance, the leadership of the Ministry of Defense announced the main results of the first half of the year. In the first half of the year, deliveries of new military and special equipment, as well as various weapons, continued. As before, the armies handed over a large number of new models, and also returned products that were being repaired and modernized. A. Krivoruchko revealed the details of these processes in his report.
For six months, 68 new units of armored weapons and equipment have been transferred to the ground and airborne troops. After the repair, 70 units returned to service. 163 new vehicles were received, another 156 were repaired. Deliveries of rocket and artillery weapons reached 56 units. A detailed list of the products received, their quantity and shares in deliveries, for obvious reasons, are not published. From January to June, the Aerospace Forces received 2 new-built aircraft and 3 repaired aircraft. According to the report of the Minister of Defense, the list of new and modernized products for the Aerospace Forces for the first half of the year included MiG-35 fighters, Ka-52 and Mi-8MTPR-1 helicopters, etc.
In February and June, the Space Forces replenished the group of electronic intelligence satellites. From the Plesetsk cosmodrome, Lotos-S and Pion-NKS products were put into orbit and taken under control.
The Navy received the first multi-purpose nuclear submarine pr. 885M, "Kazan". The industry has also transferred the fleet another small rocket ship pr. 21631, "Grayvoron". Military construction
The process of military construction continues, aimed at updating and improving the infrastructure of the armed forces. S. Shoigu said that this year the military construction complex should put into operation 3 thousand buildings and structures for various purposes and in different regions.
During the first half of the year, approx. 1600 buildings. At the same time, the main efforts are directed to the construction of facilities for the placement of equipment and weapons. First of all, the infrastructure of the strategic nuclear forces is undergoing renovation. As an example, the construction of new facilities in parts of the Strategic Missile Forces located in Novosibirsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Kozelsk and Teikovo is given.
Since the beginning of the year, new large-scale construction and reconstruction programs have been launched. Their goal is to update and develop the existing airfield network in the interests of the Aerospace Forces. It is necessary to improve the bases of the Navy. Work continues on the arrangement of units and bases in the Arctic.
The minister recalled that in the recent past, military builders were repeatedly involved in work in the civilian sphere. So, in the first half of the year, hydraulic structures were put into operation on the river. Belbek in the Crimea, built by the military.

Plans for the near future are disclosed, affecting deliveries and construction until the end of this year. According to the plans being implemented, the State Defense Order-2021 must be completed by at least 99%. Thanks to this, by the beginning of 2022, the total share of modern weapons and equipment in the army will reach 71,9%. The current pace of work and deliveries allow us to be sure that these plans will be fulfilled.
The most interesting news is related to the Strategic Missile Forces. The commander of the 13th missile division (Orenburg), Major General Andrey Cherevko, said that two silo launchers are currently being prepared, and in the future they will be equipped with Avangard complexes. Organizationally, these complexes will be included in the second regiment with such weapons. He will take up duty until the end of 2022. Deliveries of "conventional" intercontinental missiles will continue - this year the Strategic Missile Forces will receive 15 such products.
In the coming months, the ground forces will receive 65 modernized T-90M tanks in addition to the existing ones. In addition, 20 T-14 vehicles will be delivered. A brigade set of the Iskander-M operational-tactical missile system is being manufactured.
The Aerospace Forces should immediately receive four serial Su-57 fighters, as well as other types of aircraft. The delivery of several unmanned aerial systems with 18 UAVs of medium and heavy class is planned. Due to new deliveries, the air defense and missile defense forces will also be strengthened. An interesting novelty will be the L-410 multi-purpose aircraft on a float chassis. Tests of such a machine will be completed before the end of the year.
Large deliveries are expected by the Navy. He will be given three nuclear submarines and one diesel-electric. Also expected are six surface ships of various types, three Bastion coastal complexes and various weapons, weapons, etc. State tests of the Zircon hypersonic anti-ship missile are nearing completion. It could be put into service next year.
In accordance with the plans for this year, by January it is necessary to complete and put into operation about 1400 buildings and structures for various purposes. The pace of work in the first half of the year allows us to count on the successful implementation of the adopted plans.
Work continues
Thus, the military-industrial complex continues to fulfill existing orders and prepares to receive new ones, while the Ministry of Defense accepts and masters new and modernized products. At the same time, the renovation of the infrastructure, training of personnel, etc., continues.
By the beginning of 2021, the Ministry of Defense and the defense industry, through joint efforts, were able to solve the main problem of the past and brought the share of modern samples to the required 70%. Production continues, and this figure will grow again. At the same time, we are talking not just about reporting figures, but about new weapons, equipment and facilities that will make a significant contribution to the country's defense capability over the next years and decades.
