FSB RF: There is evidence of Japan's preparation for war with the Soviet Union since 1938

37

According to the FSB of the Russian Federation, this department has evidence of Japan's preparation for war with the Soviet Union since 1938. The documents confirming these facts were published for the first time.

This information became known to the agency RIA News, which got acquainted with the published materials of the archives.

An order to the units of the 1938rd Army of the Armed Forces of Japan, received on August 3, 9 during the armed conflict with the Soviet Union, which at that time erupted on Lake Khasan, testifies to the attack on the USSR that was being prepared since 1938. This order involved bringing the Japanese 3rd Army, which was located near the border, on full combat readiness in the event of the outbreak of hostilities.

This information was obtained during the interrogation of the last commander of the Kwantung Army, Otozo Yamada, before the start of the Khabarovsk Tribunal in 1949. In 1938 he led the 3rd Army. Yamada confirmed that this order is evidence of increased preparations for military action against the USSR. At the same time, great importance was attached to the use of bacteriological weaponsprohibited by the Geneva Convention. And the two-week conflict on Lake Khasan, which ended with the victory of the Red Army, served as "reconnaissance in force".

The Nippons got a lot on the head on Khasan and Khalkhin Gol. Then in 1941 they thought about whether to fight against the USSR or better with the United States.

Japan had no choice with whom to fight. Roosevelt imposed an oil embargo on Japan. You can't fight much without fuel. At that time, no oil was produced in the Far East. If Japan had attacked the USSR in 1941, it would have surrendered before Germany. I strongly doubt that the Japanese were able to defeat the Far Eastern Front of the Red Army. Japanese tanks and aircraft are not inferior to Soviet ones only in the computer games World of Tanks and WarThunder. And even then, only some models. Even taking advantage of the Civil War in Russia, the Japanese did not manage to squeeze out the Far East or even Vladivostok. Russia is too tough for Japan.

These, to hell with them. Here, the local spill of dogs and their grunts were loudly grunting about the expediency of surrendering Leningrad, Stalingrad ...
And, when these cities were surrendered, not only Japan, but also Turkey, was preparing to jump on the USSR.

Under the pressure of steel and fire.

the Hollywood camarilla created a romantic image of a noble warrior with a bushido code of honor for the samurai.
in reality, a samurai is a vile, slavish self-consciousness, bloodthirsty non-human - the "Nanking massacre", where the highest nobility of Japan took part, detachment 731 - the samurai shelupon, "the legend of Yoshitsune" - the story of meanness and cruelty.
so the FSB only confirmed the facts.
by the way, the servant nickname samurai comes from "saburou" - "samurau" - to faithfully serve his master.

From an interview with a Japanese historian:
"In the Japanese archives there is a map of Khalkhin-Gol of 1937, and the border on it passes almost as the USSR insisted. However, in 1938, a Japanese military mission in Harbin sent a Japanese major to the disputed territory to clarify the border. On his return from there in October In 1938, he reported to his superiors on the results of his mission. In his opinion, the real border was along the Khalkhin-Gol River, and NOT EAST, as claimed in Mongolia and the USSR.
The major spent two days at Khalkhin-Gol, and during this time a Mongolian mounted patrol went to the river from the opposite bank, which noticed the Japanese on the other side, but did not take any action to expel him from the disputed territory. From this, the Japanese major concluded that he did not violate the border. Sadly, this reconnaissance, initiated by the Japanese side, was an INDIRECT CONSEQUENCE of the armed conflict that erupted next spring. "
. THE INITIATORS [of the conflict] were the military of the Kwantung Army. An officer of its headquarters, Major Masanobu Tsuji, developed, and the commander of the Kwantung Army, Kenkichi Ueda, by his order No. 1488 of April 25, 1939, approved the "Basic principles for resolving border conflicts between Manchukuo and the USSR." WITHOUT SUPPLYING KNOWLEDGE of their actions to the Imperial headquarters. "

The Japanese had an itch to grapple with a worthy adversary. They needed the smallest pretext for conflict with the USSR after the creation of Manchukuo. The appetite comes with eating.

From this, the Japanese major concluded that he did not violate the border.

In fact, the Japanese violated the border at the moment when they attacked China, back in 1934, and the war did not end until 1945. But the Japs considered all of China their legal territory belay

I have no doubt about the aggressive intentions of the Japanese ... But. "On July 24, 1938, the Military Council of the Far Eastern Front gave an order to bring the 118th, 119th rifle regiments (cn) and 121st cavalry regiment (kp) of the 40th rifle division (40th rifle division) into combat readiness" ... And it is right.
    Somehow something indistinct, incomprehensible ...

Somehow unsaid. And what function did the 4-month conflict at Khalkhin-gol, which ended with the victory of the Red Army, performed? If reconnaissance in force was on Khasan, then on Khalkhin-gol there was a real battle. In principle, some Japanese historians call the battles of 1939 not a conflict, but the second Russian-Japanese war.

Pretending to be white and fluffy?
Yes, their activities defy evaluation by a common sense:
According to the testimony at the trial in Khabarovsk, the commander of the Kwantung Army, General Otozo Yamada, "Detachment 731" was organized in order to preparation of bacteriological warfare, mainly against the Soviet Union, as well as against the Mongolian People's Republic, China and other states. The judicial investigation also proved that in "Detachment 731" on living people, whom the Japanese called among themselves "logs", on experimental subjects (Chinese, Russians, Mongols, Koreans captured by the gendarmerie or special services of the Kwantung Army), no less cruel and painful experiments that had no direct relation to the preparation of bacteriological warfare

According to the recollections of the employees of the "Detachment 731", during its existence, about 3000 people died within the walls of the laboratories. According to other sources, the death toll reaches 10.

Tell me, in which countries such torture was used? GB in India, USA in North America, fascists from Germany ... The Spanish Inquisition suffered from this and (???)
Was it in Russia? And someone doubts that they are just a nation of out-of-mind sadists. If they had not been hacked in 1938-39 and 1945, it is not known what else they would have come up with.

Of course, the United States did not do anything like the "arts" of militarist Japan in China. The Nanking massacre of civilians in the already conquered city (therefore, did not pose a military danger) is atrocity at the level of the Nazis.
With the Spanish Inquisition, things are also not so simple. By the standards of the then (16-17 centuries) Western European secular governments, it did not differ in a special "intensity of atrocities".

The Japanese were not averse to squeezing out a large chunk of the Far East and Siberia along the way in the 20s, but after the Nikolaev incident they realized that not only the Russians, but also the Chinese were ready to tear them apart. Japan has always sought to dominate this region, but here the interests of the great powers - Russia, China and the United States - converged, and despite the weakness of Soviet Russia, no one ever stopped reckoning with its greatness.

For the FSB, it was enough to read the 1938 book The Secret of Two Oceans.
Everything is accessible and understandable there, with facts written about who, where and with whom will fight.
About the battles of the submarine Pioneer with a Japanese cruiser, Japanese saboteurs.

The Japanese, as you know, are still bastards. But from whom has this data been kept secret for more than seventy years? What were they hiding?

In fact, who today may be interested in a plan of 1938 unknown to anyone today, if it is reliably known about the unfulfilled plan of Japan's attack on the USSR in 1941, tied in time with the German plan "Barbarossa" - the plan "Kantogun Tokushu Enshu" abbreviated as "Kantokuen".

About "Kentokuen" has long been known and acc. the preceding developments are not surprising either. Another thing is that the Japanese were already bogged down in China in 1938; they would have had no need for another protracted land war with the USSR.
