Russian Helicopters continue work on the creation of the Ka-52K helicopter for the Russian Navy, a contract with the Ministry of Defense has been signed. This was announced by the general director of the holding, Andrei Boginsky.

The Russian military department and "Russian Helicopters" signed a contract to continue the development work on the creation of a "sea" version of the Ka-52K helicopter. At the moment, work is underway to unify the marine version with the land one. The creation of the new helicopter should be completed by 2023.

Now our task is to unify the conditional Ka-52KM with the land version and test it in relation to the carriers.

- leads RIA News words of the head of the holding.

As a reminder, four prototypes of Ka-52K helicopters were built within the framework of the R&D project on this topic. The ship version of the Ka-52K was made with a folding column of blades, the blades fold back along the helicopter body, which will help to place it in ship hangars, limited in area.

In August 2019, Boginsky said that the ground part of the tests of four prototypes of the Ka-52K Katran was completed and negotiations were underway with the Ministry of Defense to conclude a contract for the continuation of R&D on this topic, but the work was hampered by the lack of carriers of these helicopters. Initially, the deck version of the Ka-52K was designed for the French Mistral-class amphibious assault carriers, but now their carriers are the Project 23900 universal amphibious assault ships being built in Kerch.

Earlier it was reported that the delivery of the Ka-52K was included in the armament program until 2027.

Holding "Helicopters of Russia" continued work to create the Ka-52K Katran helicopter

The Russian military department and "Russian Helicopters" signed a contract to continue the development work on the creation of a "sea" version of the Ka-52K helicopter. At the moment, work is underway to unify the marine version with the land one. The creation of the new helicopter should be completed by 2023.

      I found this table:

I wondered what else, apart from folding blades and some equipment components, could have been created since 2015?
But it turned out that you need to ask another question:
      Andrey Boginsky, Russian Helicopters holding
      Director General

With such a track record in a team of like-minded people:

If they are only designing K-52K, then what have they sold to Egypt? I think we are not talking about the sea, but about the universal land-sea version of the K-52KM or modernization. And in the foreseeable future, will there be helicopters for landing on our "U" DK? Since the days of K-29, a lot of water has flowed under the bridge ...
