New dates for the start of tests of hypersonic missiles "Zircon" from an underwater carrier have been announced

Flight design tests of the Zircon hypersonic missile from an underwater carrier will start at the end of August, the launches will be made from the Project 885 Severodvinsk multipurpose nuclear submarine.

According to the news agency TASS, which cites a source in the Russian defense industry complex, tests of "Zircon" from an underwater carrier will begin at the end of August this year. According to the plans of the developers, flight design tests (LKI) of the rocket should be completed before the start of freeze-up in the White Sea. In total, several launches from the submarine are planned.

There is no official confirmation of this information, the Ministry of Defense traditionally does not publish data on the upcoming tests, reporting them after the test. Also, the developers of Zircon from NPO Mashinostroyenia do not comment on the information.

As previously reported, the hypersonic "Zircon" was tested from a surface carrier, which was the frigate Severny fleet "Admiral Gorshkov". The military department reported on missile launches at sea and ground targets. All launches were recognized as successful.

In December 2020, the Ministry of Defense announced that state tests of the Zircon hypersonic missile would begin in 2021 immediately after the completion of the flight test stage. The frigate "Admiral Gorshkov" and the multipurpose submarine of project 885 (code "Ash") "Severodvinsk" will take part in the tests.

In early March, data appeared that the Ministry of Defense intends to accelerate the Zircon test program with the aim of adopting the missile into service in the first half of 2022.

And rightly so. This mericatos will draw on paper, and squeal all over the world about a super-duper-hyper fintihlyushka. And as in fact, they begin - it did not fly away, then the engines caught fire. It is always so good dancer always that something gets in the way.

Once the acceleration of tests is announced, which happens infrequently, then everything is going really well good

it means that the world has seriously smelled of gunpowder ...
Therefore, you should hurry up to adequately meet the overseas guests ... and shorten (if necessary) their irrepressible appetite for "someone else's loaf" under a democratic sauce.
