Sevastopol 13th shipyard may remain in the structure of the Ministry of Defense
The Sevastopol 13th shipyard, which is part of the structure of the Russian Ministry of Defense, may remain there, the corporatization of the enterprise has been suspended. This was reported by the press service of the enterprise.
According to the official representative of the plant, Sergei Gorbachev, the possibility of leaving the enterprise in the structure of the Ministry of Defense is being considered, rather than transferring it to the United Shipbuilding Corporation. The incorporation of the enterprise was supposed to be the first step in the transition of the shipyard from the military to a corporation.

On the possible transfer of the 13th shipyard of the Black Sea fleet the structure of the United Shipbuilding Corporation was reported back in 2017. USC planned to create a ship repair and shipbuilding cluster in Sevastopol. The transfer was originally planned for 2018.
The 13th Shipyard of the Black Sea Fleet is located in the Kilen Bay of Sevastopol and has been engaged in complex repairs of warships and naval vessels since 1945, and the plant itself has existed since 1887. Currently, he has been identified as the only contractor for the repair and maintenance of ships and vessels of the Black Sea Fleet until 2022.
