Syrian press: Russian Aerospace Forces planes with missile and bomb strikes stopped the regrouping of militants in the north of Latakia

19

There are reports from Syria that militants of terrorist groups tried to regroup in the province of Latakia. According to the latest information, the militants have begun to concentrate forces and equipment to the north-east of the city of Salma. The Syrian military intelligence revealed the activity of terrorists in the direction of Jizr al-Shugur - Zuweikat. One of the tasks that the militants set themselves was the task of taking a section of a strategically important road connecting the province of Idlib with the coastal regions of Latakia.

In this regard, a direct danger arose for the Russian military base Khmeimim, as well as for the MTO point of the Russian Navy in Tartus.

According to the Syrian media, in order to neutralize the emerging danger, the aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces were taken into the air. According to these reports, the Russian military aviation launched a series of missile and bomb strikes on the territory, in which Syrian military intelligence revealed large concentrations of terrorists and their warehouses and caches. One of the most powerful strikes was reportedly carried out in the north of Latakia - in the Al-Kabina hills. The reports refer to the destruction of the field command post of militants, equipment, including equipment for communications and control drones.

It was noted that not only an attempt to regroup militants was prevented by air strikes, but also the danger of using UAVs equipped with explosive devices was eliminated. Earlier, militants repeatedly tried to damage the base of the Russian Aerospace Forces in Khmeimim, using precisely drones. Often, Pantsir-S anti-aircraft missile and gun systems also came into play.

It would be nice if more "sponsors" / advisers were sent to another world.

The article mentions missile and bomb strikes twice, but only at the end, once missile and cannon strikes. Possibly a mistake by the author or translation. And so, the cannon is actively used with the Su-25.

Sponsors / advisors are now scientists. Surely they do not shine in large concentrations of barmaley, because such herds are a tasty morsel for our videoconferencing. hi

To send sponsors of terrorism to another world, you need to bomb London and Washington. So the fight against terrorism, at least the one that is waged by Russia, is just sweeping garbage under the carpet, instead of doing good cleaning. As long as the "collective west" exists, international terrorism will also exist.

How did it come out categorically for you! ..
Bomb it right away? Is ISIS created by Britain and the United States? No.
The states are related to al-Qaeda, which was initially listed as a controlled group. The result of "controllability" is known to everyone.

We would have learned from someone else's mistake - the result cannot be different. But no, we continue to follow the rakes of the Soviet era - we receive terrorists on Smolenskaya Square in a constructive and friendly atmosphere. And with budgetary money we are preparing "officers" from the militants at the Frunze Academy. At least al-Qaeda was not received with honors in Washington.
True, we do not call them terrorists, they are our "dear comrades and friends", but, as you know - even call them a pot, just don't put it in the stove. No matter how much you condemn the terrible "collective west", you yourself will not get better - double standards, unfortunately, are the same for the whole world.

Who? Maybe you yourself appeared? laughing The Middle East is a swamp where little good happens without permission from Britain and the states. Who organized the Maidan in Syria? Who benefits from the tension around the world? Whose ears are sticking out in 90% of conflicts around the world? You also say that everything happens by itself.

I do not want to generalize and talk about tensions around the world and about the entire Middle East - these are too capacious topics for this article. But Assad arranged the "Maidan" in Syria on his own: his own illiterate domestic policy was enough.

If, under the conditions of the clan system, you keep your own people at all posts - incompetent, but your own - you will get a hidden confrontation of clans.
If you add national issues that have not been resolved for decades (the Kurds in this case), you get smoldering separatism.
It remains to add a low level of agricultural technologies in conditions of water shortage and a mediocre social policy - you're done, you get a Maidan.

Because everyone should mind their own business. An ophthalmologist should treat people's eyes, not run a state.

I don't know about ophthalmologists, but Bashar managed (with the help of course) fine. At least not caved in under the states, which already deserves respect. And there is no need to talk about the "enthusiastically dissatisfied population" here, leave it to the pan-headed Maydauns. Syria was a wonderful state (secular, which is rare for the Arab world), until the so-called "Arab Spring". Then you know. The one that please do not lie to people.

And I don't think so, here are the facts:

ISIS entered the country amid civil war. First there was war, and then ISIS, and not vice versa.
Syria was a totalitarian state with a clan structure, the second largest party in which was the Nazi.
Assad does not currently control most of its territory, this part is ruled by everyone who is not lazy - Iran, Turkey, Kurds, we, Hezbollah and radical gangs of all stripes.
De facto statehood does not exist. Assad is sitting on our bayonets. Only the de jure territory remained.
The country's economy and social institutions such as medicine, education, law enforcement are paralyzed.

Here is HOW normally he coped - not every external enemy would cause more harm to the country, what kind of respect is there. If we leave Syria, his grateful citizens will hang him on a pole within a week.
But for you all this is not an argument, and I perfectly understand why. Because the only criterion for successful leadership for you is "don't bend under the States." I very much doubt that the Syrians would agree with you - I think they would gladly prefer the "sad fate" of Kuwait, the Saudis, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Jordan and Oman.

There is no need to meddle in the Middle East, especially in an Arab country, with its own charter. For them, this is quite normal and they do not know or understand anything else. so they lived for millennia and do not want to change the awl for soap, in the face of Western democracy. Yes, Russia helped Syria somehow survive. And the fact that everything is paralyzed in Syria is the merit of Western democratizers, and not Assad. As you have everything upside down.

I see no reason for the United States to deliberately destabilize the situation in Syria ..
But something else is important - the Maidan does not happen just like that, according to someone's will: in a socially stable state, its external organization is impossible. It took a long-term illiterate leadership of the internal political and social processes to make the Maidan possible. And then, yes - ISIS.

For them, this is quite normal and they do not know anything else.
                      т

I completely agree with you - this is a common reality in any Arab country in the Middle East. But one must be able to work with this reality. Neither the Saudis, nor the Emirates, nor Kuwait, nor even Jordan have clan wars of such a scale that would threaten the very existence of the state. It is absurd to hang all the dogs on the "Western democratizers".

I'm shocked. Excuse me, what world do you live in? In the world of pink ponies? (no offense) just to destabilize the situation in the whole world, this is the primary task of the states, because against the background of the general chaos, they are trying to look like the only "island of stability". This is necessary primarily to maintain their main weapon, that is, the dollar. The most interesting thing is that they have not been hiding it for a long time and are talking about it directly, duplicitly hiding behind the fact that they bring democracy to everyone. Maidan always happens at someone's request. This is not a riot of the "dissatisfied people", it is always a planned action, with the participation of hundreds of corrupt elites, a handful of urban madmen (for masking), stupid youth and, most importantly, various "non-profit organizations" for all sorts of "democratic values", the fight for the environment " , "environmental protection", "women's rights", "animal welfare" and other crap. And all this is paid from the funds of the State Department, CIA, Pentagon, Soros, etc. You did not know? laughing I repeat, they do not hide it.

I don’t believe in the United States’s desire to "destabilize the situation in the whole world," but this is my subjective opinion. But what objectively, so these are the conditions under which a third-party organization of the "Maidan" is possible: this pre-existing instability in the rank of crisis. Economic, political, social, confessional - whatever. But even then it is not a cheap, slow and difficult task - even the States do not have the money to arrange Maidans where the left heel wants - just to "look like an island of stability."

Returning to Syria - Assad destroyed his country himself. First of all - the wrong social policy in relation to land users. ISIS took advantage of this.
But Assad did not correct his policy, he began to tighten the screws. Accordingly, ISIS strengthened and entered the country as “the defender of the oppressed masses.” If Assad could be removed at that moment, maybe it would have been possible to fix everything, but he decided to sit to the end.
Accordingly, the provinces rebelled almost in full, short-sighted alliance with ISIS and other terrorists. Predictably, the Kurds raised their heads. Turkey intervened in response. At the hopeful call of Assad, troops of the IRGC and Hezbollah entered .. No external efforts were needed, he managed it himself.

Well, the last chord of the sad melody was our presence, which supported the throne of Assad with bayonets. He now sits on them - in a devastated country without the Law, power, peace and basic living conditions. Who is he after that?
What kind of person who loves his country is able to bring to this, and even offer his country as a training ground and a long-term foothold - just to stay on the throne? ..
