A new light flamethrower system "Heat" based on the armored vehicle "Dozor-B" has been developed in Ukraine

56

In Ukraine, work has been completed on the creation of a light mobile flamethrower system "Zhara". The integration of the launcher on a car chassis was carried out at the Kharkov Design Bureau of Mechanical Engineering (KMDB named after Morozov).

Reportedly, KMDB acted as the main executor of the work, installing a launcher produced by the State Enterprise "Shepetivka Repair Plant" on the Ukrainian armored car "Dozor-B" of its own design. Another participant in the project is the State Holding Company "Artem" - a developer and manufacturer of ammunition called RS-122TB "Heat" for the new system.

The decision to develop a light flamethrower system based on the Dozor-B armored car was made at Ukroboronprom, writes Defense Express. As conceived by the designers, "Heat" combines several key characteristics necessary on a modern battlefield, such as: high mobility, invisibility to the enemy, the ability to fire and quickly change position, as well as avoid enemy attacks.

A package with ten guides is located in the back of the Dozor-B armored car and, if necessary, rises to a firing position for firing, the maximum firing range is 7 km. The ammunition will be 122 mm thermobaric projectiles, which are being developed by the Artem State Joint Stock Company. The ammunition is promised to be produced by the end of the year.

According to the Ukrainian press, the new system is being prepared for factory testing, but before that, the only copy of "Heat" will be repainted and shown at the parade in honor of the Independence Day of Ukraine, as another "achievement" of the Ukrainian military-industrial complex.

German, unlike Banderlogovsky, worked and worked well. And the Ukrainians made an ordinary martyr's mobile and painted it green. Exactly like Al Qaeda and ISIS. They take a Toyota truck, sheathe it with iron, reinforce the suspension, paint it green - the color of Islam, and put it in the back ... whatever, up to and including ZU 23-2. Congratulations, you, Banderlog, you have reached the technological level of uneducated religious fanatics in torn robes and no less torn trousers.

This one is smaller and shoots farther than Buratino.
      1. Have compared. Caliber "Buratino" 220 mm, with new missiles hits 6 km

The convulsions of the Ukrainian military-industrial complex really remind me of the times of the Spanish Civil War, when in each shed its own unique single shushpanzer was made from what was found at hand. True, the Spaniards did not create their shusha to try to sell it to anyone.

I think that the same hohlomobile of the marauder would be at least rated higher by the Raguli-Galicians.

It looks like the drawings are sent to them by the "barmaley" from Syria
It is not clear where to apply it? For the city, the shooting angle is too small, in the "field" shihadmobml.

But the angles of rotation of these missiles are limited, how will they be guided? The car body is in the way.
And in general, they will shoot at this car even from a machine gun, the khan and the car, and everyone standing in the radius.

There are two points. Apparently they fear that this "inevitably" can lie on its side and, most importantly, with such a design, where will the powder gases go when the launcher is turned 90 degrees?

So I, too, immediately thought, was she only shooting at the heading?
And also: how will they recharge it?

Actually, this is the Avgan version of the "crazy". Fathers commanders, for the most part, we have been across the river and have not reaped their experience, sometimes they did it through unwillingness. For what we are young to the coffin we have to drink one brandy.

Aren't they interfering with the Swedes?

      And the Germans?

I am more interested in supports - they are not effective in mud, there will be a large spread. But given that they dream of simply burning Donbass to the ground, the concept becomes clear. The Banderaites have experience - Khatyn, the House of Trade Unions in Odessa and much more.

Hello. Such a system is not particularly needed by the Alliance. Here is a 120 mm mortar based on an automobile, this is a necessary thing, but so far they cannot do it. Otherwise, the militia would have had a hard time.
When will you be allowed to reply?

They are already making a mortar on a car chassis - Bars. The first batch is being tested in Donbass.

But the thermobar is more efficient. You cannot hide from him either in a trench, or in a dugout or a building.

And what will happen to the "GRAD" th if a pair of armor-piercing incendiary flies to it in the launcher? And what will happen to the German LARS in the same scenario) on the LARS there is at least some kind of casing).? But in general, what will happen if a pair of armor-piercing incendiary weapons will fly to the ATGM on the BMP? Therefore, in our BRADLEY TOU not in open launchers, but in at least some kind of armored casing, like the Germans have LARS. The question is certainly correct, but in the Russian army it is the same problem. If the launcher is not armored or not covered, any hit on it will disable it as a minimum, or else it will detonate the ammunition load. And if there are other rockets nearby ... fireworks will be - my compliments.

Judging by the photo, the firing sector at this wunderwafele is about 90 degrees, the jet stream of missiles goes back. Considering that a light armored car can be deployed in a few seconds where required, more than 90 degrees is not needed at all, especially since the article explicitly states that this piece is intended for hit-and-run tactics. Given the firing range of missiles, machine-gun fire is not so terrible for this armored car, rather, it itself is quite scary for a machine-gun or mortar position, given the peculiarities of thermobaric ammunition.

More precisely, such "shock absorbers" are hydraulic seals (gas stops).

Damn right. And the tilt angles are mute.
I think at the state. level, at the level of real designers it is impossible to give it out. Someone from the dealers who have access to the car and rockets built this without even thinking at your level where the gases will go, etc.
A muddy topic with this system. Dangerous primarily for the users of such a thermobaric system.

"Hot patrol", like, it turns out .. But with the range "Jumpers" obviously lied. With such a length of guides they will not receive the declared range, and even the outlet of outgoing gases just under the armor .. It's a pity for the crew of the suicide bombers, it's a pity ..

No, such a machine will not work. But it makes sense to put 6 guides from "Buratino" in an armored casing on "Uran-9" for a battle in the city. Action tactics: jump out from around the corner, shoot and immediately back.
    1. +1
      5 August 2021 11: 19
Uran-9 has 12 RPO-M guides with a range of up to 1,7 km and a high-explosive effect equivalent to a 152 mm projectile. This, with other weapons, Uranus-9 is quite enough for a battle. Moreover, the package of guides can be lifted. Well, the most "Uran-9" is a combat robot without the presence of a crew in it.

The first thing is that everyone notes where the gas outlet will be when turning the package of guides. Second weak booking. The third 122 mm thermobaric ammunition was developed for the Grad system back in the USSR. Fourth, where are the guidance systems. Well, the most important thing is T.Z. and T.T.Kh. project substantiated by military specialists. There may be one conclusion that someone decided to get funding for the project, for this.
