The new commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine banned Ukrainian politicians from visiting the JFO zone in Donbass
In Ukraine, the situation is being discussed, which has arisen in connection with the introduction of a ban on visits to the territories of the so-called OOS for Ukrainian officials and politicians. Recall that the JFO in Ukraine is deciphered as a joint forces operation.
As it turns out, the ban on visiting the war zone - the area adjacent to the demarcation line - was introduced by the new commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Major General Valery Zaluzhny. He took office by order of President Volodymyr Zelensky just a few days ago.
The first "victim" of the new regime was Dmitry Razumkov, who is the speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. Razumkov, following a directive previously circulated personally by President Zelensky, decided to visit Donbass and meet with the military. But now it turns out that Zelensky's appointee is blocking the initiative voiced by the Ukrainian president. In the Rada itself, this raised a number of questions. The main question is who, after all, initiated the ban on Ukrainian politicians from visiting the OOS territories?
At the same time, the Armed Forces of Ukraine declare that the ban is "temporary". It is alleged that it is connected with the fact that in the zone of the operation of the joint forces "it may be unsafe for the presence of high-ranking officials and politicians." At the same time, accusations of violating the ceasefire regime are expressed against representatives of the LPNR, although the Ukrainian side itself is opening fire.
Razumkov said that now the chairman of the Verkhovna Rada "will not be able to communicate with the military personnel on the front line and with citizens living in the area of the operation."
In Ukraine, different opinions are expressed on this matter. Some political analysts believe that this is how Zelensky, through Zaluzhny, blocked the opportunity for politicians to engage in PR "on the front lines." The President of Ukraine left such a prerogative only for himself, in order to be able to maintain the rating at least at the existing values.
