Day of the formation of the Special Communications Service of Russia

The duties of the Federal State Unitary Enterprise "Main Center for Special Communications" (GTSSS), which is one of the structural divisions of Rossvyaz, includes the delivery of valuables and secret documents, as well as money, drugs, weapons, dangerous items and other special items.

Employees of this structure celebrate their professional holiday on August 1. Officially, it is called the Day of the formation of the Special Communications Service of Russia. It is believed that this structure was founded in 1939. Then the Soviet government, also known as the Council of People's Commissars of the USSR, decided to reorganize the courier service of the NKVD and on June 17, 1939, by its decree, established the Special Communications Service under the People's Commissariat of Communications. The new organization began work on August 1, and this date is now celebrated as a professional holiday for special communications employees.

The main tasks of the Special Communications Service of the People's Commissariat of Communications were the delivery of secret documents and precious metals throughout the country.

Since then, this organization has been repeatedly renamed, although the responsibilities of its employees have changed slightly. So FSUE GTSSS of Russia inherited all the developments made by its predecessors.

Today, the management of the Special Communications Service congratulates the personnel on their professional holiday and celebrates the distinguished employees with letters of commendation, gratitude and awards. Celebrations and concerts with the participation of creative teams are organized for them.
